Ugh. Maybe if Vogue was able to get a deep, interesting article looking into Hillary Clinton's actions and presence in the White House, I'd be more interested in the magazine and less likely to brush it off in favor of Harper's Bazaar. But, as it stands, Vogue has to have some mention of makeup--any at all! oh god, she wears powder!!--thrown into the mix. #hillaryclintonvogue

As a sleep deprived grad student, the world excuses me from fashion and grudgingly accepts my boring jeans and tees as the nature of the game.

It's 8.30pm and I'm attired in the exact same thing I was wearing when I woke up, though I have included a bra in the daytime ensemble. As a patriotic American, I fully expect the Secretary of State to put their full attention toward fashion above all other issues. Hillary not spending hours and hours flipping through W and Vogue and Style.com's fashion slide shows to pick up tips is damaging to our country, to the free market and retail business, and above all else, it hurts the troops. #hillaryclintonvogue

Also, I'm only posting this because I think far too much has been implied in the media in the other direction, but Clinton is a VERY attractive woman. It's like the media assumes she's not because she doesn't wear tall leather boots and skirts all the time. #hillaryclintonvogue

@HarpMadness: And it was only last year that she had "the" trenchcoat. I still love that coat. I agree that she has aged well, had a little discreet work done but sometimes looks tired when she's just done a three day tour of 15 countries. I admire her looks and at a few years younger than she wished I could look as good.

As far as pantsuits go they are convenient and you don't have to worry about accidents that leave photos of the back of your skirt tucked into your pantyhose. And Oscar de la Renta for the high quality of those pantsuits because the quality of her clothes counts when she's meeting people as Secretary of State.

I admire her in every way and more than before wish she were pres. #hillaryclintonvogue

@HarpMadness: my bf is absolutely crazy for hillary and thinks she's the hottest woman alive (other than me, of course). she's not really my type, but her brains are pretty damn sexy.

also: i like fashion, but if our secretary of state was a man, would we be asking why he's always wearing the same damn black suit/white shirt/red/blue tie? if obama shows up to the oval office wearing purple on purple, then hillary might think about stepping up her game a little. until then, don't our leaders have more important things to do? #hillaryclintonvogue

Thanks Vogue, but I actually prefer that my Secretary of State cares less about fashion than your editors. I firmly believe HRC cares more about the US's political relationship with China, Israel, Iran and any other foreign nation than you do. As it should be. #hillaryclintonvogue

I don't think a publication like Vogue can seriously entertain the idea that some people don't care about fashion. They think that those who are not a slave to it are simply too poor or too ugly (or whatever) to pull it off, but they all would if they could. It's comical. #hillaryclintonvogue

If she likes the pantsuits, why keep trying to force 'fashion' on her? It's just the way she rolls.
Also, it's not that the Secretary of State can't care about her clothes, but why does Vogue have such a problem with the way she dresses? She looks fine to me. #hillaryclintonvogue

@bluebears: Yes! It's always bothered me -- that and the fact that Annie Liebovitz is so overexposed and overused (IMO) as a photographer for these shots - whether "serious people" or actors. #hillaryclintonvogue
