    @Maritsa: @dianersb was bit by a zombie: Oh yeah, totally psyched over here. I used to go every summer for a few months at a time, but for a variety of reasons it's been several years since I've been. However, we're almost done with our house and now that things are back to normal again, I should be going every few years.


    Maritsa, where's Pappou from, if you don't mind my asking? And yeah, I feel you--it's great to go, but it's tough to get there. It's costly and, if you have relatives there, you need at least two or three weeks to make the trip worthwhile (God forbid you skip seeing the relatives--you'd never hear the end of it, haha).

    @Vivi21: My dad was from Mani. I had to spend like half my freaking honeymoon seeing relatives and my one aunt was incensed that we chose to stay at the InterContinental instead of on her rock-hard bed in her two room house in Neapoli. Luckily we don't talk to them anymore - ha!


    My mom's family is from Cyprus - haven't been there yet.
