    My boyfriends neck apparently sounds like a cement mixer the night after a concert of solid headbanging.


    I really thought this was gonna be "headbanging causes brain injury" which wouldn't surprise me in the least, but neck injury? State the obvious award for that one.

    i'm not quite sure why that woman is suing. if she didn't like the atmosphere there, shouldn't she have quit? it seems, from the article, she only mentioned being muslim when she refused the dress, but not really when she first realized the women were being treated poorly by the customers. many places expect their employees to dress a certain way. that bar is not the first.


    and, i often try not to judge other people, but if u're muslim shouldn't u not be serving alcohol in the first place?

    @raysanni: I'm trying to figure out what I think about this myself. I feel like the article is a little vague. It SEEMS LIKE this is the uniform worn by all waitresses. If this is the case, yeah, I don't think she has much to go on.


    Of course, if she wants to bring this to the attention of the fashion police, she has a solid case. That dress is fug.

    @raysanni: I kept thinking "why is she working in a cocktail bar in the first place?" and wasn't sure if that would be rude. Employers can and will expect their employees to wear a uniform for the job. If it happens to be the red dress (which isn't TOO awful), then it happens to be the red dress.


    If she's Muslim and so sensitive about appearing sexual to men, why is she not covering her hair?

    @LaComtesse: exactly! she must have known what she was getting into, and if she didnt, she should have quit or made a claim as soon as she did.


    this frustrates me mostly because there are legitimate claims of sexual harrassment, and suits like this one undermine the legitimacy of cases that deserve real litigation. ugh.
