It's called "Abortion Man", and it comes to us via WayOutTV, created by comedian Damon Wayans "as an incubator to develop innovative television shows for the internet." (The video is embedded after the jump.) Salon's Catherine Price breaks it down: Basically, a young guy gets a call from his girlfriend, who reveals that she is pregnant. The guy mutters "Get rid of that shit," but then tells the young woman in question he's "enthused about the whole situation." He hangs up the phone, and, à la Superman, runs to the window and yells "Help!" Enter Abortion Man, who wears a T-shirt displaying a fetus with a line through it. Abortion Man comes to the rescue by accosting the young woman in question, saying "Ah-hah! I have you now, fiend!" and then punching her. In the belly. When she falls to the ground, he stomps on her. And a bloody fetus flies out, into the bushes.

In addition to Salon, video has also caught the attention of the blog 'What About Our Daughters'. ""Abortion Man' is a burning cross," a post on the blog reads. "Its hate imagery that would make Joseph Goebbels proud... YouTube has placed no age restriction on 'Abortion Man.' Kids apparently need to be protected from candy penises, but no such age controls are needed when you depict a violent attack on a pregnant Black girls. By the way, Toyota is running ads on the WayOutTV YouTube Page."

The video is not funny. The premise is not funny. It's seriously offensive and twisted, even as a fantasy. And it's not just some low-budget, no-name production: Michael Wayans, Damon's son, appears in the clip. What About Our Daughters adds this for perspective:

According to the CDC, black women have a maternal homicide risk about seven times that of white women. Black women ages 25-29 are about 11 times more likely as white women in that age group to be murdered while pregnant or in the year after childbirth.
It's impossible to fathom that any woman — and most men — would think this video is funny or even innocuous. There may be ways to poke fun at the panic of discovering an unintended, unplanned pregnancy, but depicting a man punching a woman in the uterus is unacceptable. But what's the best way to deal with this abhorrent and abominable clip? Should it be taken down? Or be broadcast and made and example of?

<![CDATA[Ugh]]> Remember the woman who was killed last week because her Uggs apparently got stuck in train tracks? Now investigators are saying it isn't the footwear to blame but the woman's boyfriend, who is being charged with manslaughter. Apparently after getting stuck in the tracks, two strangers came and assisted the woman, freeing her, but once her foot was released, the boyfriend encouraged her to go ahead and run in front of the train to cross to his side of the platform, rather than wait for the train to pass. He was annoyed at the idea of missing his ride. [Daily Mail]

<![CDATA[Terrence Howard: Women And Toilet Paper "A Very Serious Subject"]]> Remember how actor Terrence Howard told Elle magazine's Andrew Goldman that he breaks up with any girl who uses only regular toilet paper and not baby wipes after going to the bathroom? Well, today we stopped by a press call for Howard's new movie, the war comedy The Hunting Party, and took the opportunity to ask the actor about it. Mr. Howard's answer... after the jump.

Jennifer:

Terrence, I was wondering if you could comment further on your remarks in Elle regarding baby wipes and your feelings about them.
Howard:
I stated my position pretty clearly. More people need to use them. This is a very serious subject. What more is there to say?
Jennifer:
How many women have you tried to convert?
Howard's Publicist:
Ok, and that's it. No more questions. Time to end.
(Howard scowls, exits)

Fin.

Update: Looks like baby-wipes weren't one of Terrence's smarter suggestions. That, or he has a plumber on retainer!

<![CDATA[Terrence Howard Thinks Women Are Unclean And Dressed Like Whores]]> The new issue of Elle has an interview with Oscar-nominated actor Terrence Howard. Mr. Howard, of Hustle & Flow and Crash fame, is attractive, that goes without saying. But his thoughts and opinions? Not so much! Some snippets from Elle:

"I like women who look like me. Generally, you're attracted to women who look like you, because the most beautiful thing in nature is your own reflection."
On his relationship philosophy:
"If a relationship is built on sexuality, it won't last long. Now I'm completely chaste through a relationship unless I get married. I don't believe in premarital sex. It enabled me to date three or four women at the same time, because as long as I wasn't having sex with them, I could always just walk away. There were some [past girlfriends] who pushed for sex, and sometimes they won. Afterward, I would feel unclean, like I'd compromised my own values. So I would have to let them go because they didn't help me to be a stronger person."

On his deal-breaker:

"Toilet paper - and no baby wipes - in the bathroom. If they're using dry paper, they aren't washing all of themselves. It's just unclean. So if I go in a woman's house and see the toilet paper there, I'll explain this. And if she doesn't make the adjustment to baby wipes, I'll know she's not completely clean."
On his divorce:
"I was in love with her, but she was not in love with me. I can't be upset because she doesn't find me the most beautiful thing on the planet."
Jezebel's own Anna Holmes was once fortunate enough to interview Mr. Howard for InStyle, and came away with the impression that he hates women. (That part didn't make it into her article!) For one, says Anna, during the interview, Mr. Howard was going through his closet and showing her his favorite clothes — when her arm brushed his. Mr. Howard flinched and said he didn't like "being touched". Other gems? When railing against how 'far" women's fashion has gone — "We've lost modesty" — Mr. Howard told Anna that seeing women dressed provocatively creates a response in him that he can't respond to in a 'natural' way. (Meaning that rape is illegal?). "He then made a comment that women who expose their 'titties' to the public have no right to get angry if people — maybe him? — make remarks about it," she continues. "He said something like 'What's worse, someone exposing themselves or someone commenting on it? Who committed the first sin?'"
