I should make a video against people taking marriage advice from movies starring Kirk Cameron. That movie was pretty popular down here, but we still have one of the top five divorce rates in the county.

Arguing with people like this is more fun if you don't do it to their face. Because in their mind, they have Jesus on their side, and nothing you can say matters one whit.

I'm down with not debating Creationists, because they make my vision white out with fury, but I think we shouldn't mistake not engaging morons for doing nothing... It seems like there's still a lot of work to be done in terms of convincing school boards not to cave to creationist pressure and scrap teaching evolution in biology, or give equal time to creationist principles that are really a thin veil for specifically Christian creationism.

What we need here is for the FSM to weigh in.

I guess that means every person who ever burned someone at the stake or drove them out of their country because of their religion, or discriminated and abused a woman or person of color because of scripture, and everyone who murdered or attacked an abortion provider in this country in the name of the Bible, anyone who persecuted someone because of their own interpretation or misappropriation of something in the Bible, all of those people's crimes can be blamed on... God?

My problem with this is that she didn't really say anything that wasn't the obvious response (or just silly--ok, "ssssssnake" was kinda funny). I only got about half way through, since I was bored with it. It just didn't seem particularly clever, at least in the first couple of minutes. Maybe it got better?
