    Unfortunately, the producers completely screwed the only surviving member of the original documentary, Jerry Torre. Jerry is a friend of mine and the producers, posing as fans, asked a bunch of questions. When it came time for credit, nevermind a consulting fee, he was shafted because, as the producers said, they weren't using his last name so the character wasn't really "him". I refuse to watch this film based on this fact alone.

    @BUNNYLUV: Netflix is how I saw "Grey Gardens." How did you handle "The Bridge?" I kinda feel like that would just be masochism on my part. Finally getting control over suicidal depression? You should watch a documentary ALL ABOUT SUICIDE! Be reminded of suicide EVERY TIME YOU SEE THE GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE! I live near San Fransisco, so that would be pretty often.

    I watched it last night for the first time from netflix and it is pretty exhausting. I recommend only two bong hits though. Anymore than that you start wondering if your life will end up like their's.... Wait wait wait, I have a dead dad, two brothers, a mom to take care of and dreams of stardom...

    this is the kind of shit that makes you clean out the litter box at 3 in the morning.

    @itsameddafor:Exactly, the great fear is that we could start turning into the Edies without realizing until cat food cans were halfway up the staircase. But no one mentions this, and maybe the publicity team decided it was forbidden to say this, but the Edies were mentally ill. Jessica L and Drew B when interviewed insisted on the emphasis that this was a story of the love between mum and daughter. They were not well, whether the actors were allowed to admit so or not, and they would have been better off if someone had kindly installed them in one of those places like Tom Cruise family put the Rain Man. As for Mrs. Onassis 'helping,' the less said the better. Always on her own planet.
