@SharonTaint: Wait, really? Is this the same design cross-over that Tim called her about on the first half of the finale, or did something come out after the show aired?
@PipPipCheerio: She stole the entire text of a New York Magazine article, titled "Reasons to love New York" and justified it by saying that it didn't really have an author since they interviewed New Yorkers and that she contributed to it by adding ONE line of her own invention.
Right, because an article compiled of quotes from random New Yorkers and then printed by a magazine means it's not stealing when you reprint it without their permission. Girl needs a lesson on copyright, plagiarism, and fair use.
@femme-bot: I wouldn't go surfing, or hit a Google news link, but I would feel relatively safe to check in with Jez and just avoid the Project Runway posts.
@curiousgeorgiana: I wouldn't. This has to be the 4757646453 time a "OMG SPOILERS" discussion has happened here. People should know by now jez posts recaps/spoilers. And if I was really trying, after seeing the headline, I would have skipped the blurb.
@femme-bot: I hear you-- internet is dangerous and you take the risk. But it is less than 24 hours after the finale, and the show is on decently late. Not everyone can stay up/ watch.
I've been on Jez a long time. With reality and show recaps, they tend to save major stuff for inside the post. The blurb, the picture, and less than 24 hours after the show aired, makes me feel this is one of the few OMG SPOILER type moments.
@femme-bot: The headline was already giving it away -- so should I avoid Jezebel for days? Weeks? I don't care if this is the umpteenth spoiler alert discussion. Because nobody learns!
@BlondeGoddess: well how long is jez supposed to avoid posting about your favorite shows that you haven't gotten around to watching? days? weeks? when the news is stale? jez is a blog that, like most news organizations, wants its information and posts to be timely. the finale was last night, it makes sense the blog would want to post about it today.
ack, i clearly fall in the "it's not a spoiler if it already aired" camp.
@PrettyB is like Whoa: I definitely fall in the same camp as you, but I think the specific protest is about the spoiler being before the jump (and in the picture in this case). They could still do the exact same post, just keep the spoiler-y stuff til after the jump.
I don't think they need to, but that is at least reasonable - unlike "don't post about it til *I* have seen it!!"
At the very least, if Irina had to win, it was the crappy season NO ONE liked and everyone will attempt to forget asap. Not to mention she had to keep her trap shut about winning it for a year.
@GiggleLoop & lovecake: I still can't get over what a dick he was to Angela's poor mother. And then HE! had the nerve to cry about it. I mean there's being a reality show villain and then there's being the most insufferable human being alive (later eclipsed by Glen Beck)
@bluebears: I couldn't stand him. He was so dismissive of the other designers' talent. Dude, just because it isn't your style doesn't mean it's crap. Making Angela's mother cry was just beyond the pale. Not only was she a guest, she was the relative of a fellow competitor.
@bluebears: Thankfully, next season is back in New York, and reports are that Nina and Michael actually are there judging the whole season. Unfortunately, we're stuck with Bunim/Murray and their over-30 bias, Real-World sensibilities.
@bluebears: It always felt like the producers don't really know anything about LA. Nothing about this season actually felt like LA to me. There was no sense of the actual place, just that weird version of HollywoodLosAngeles that shows up on every television show. Wasted opportunity, PR, and in exchange there was hardly any Nina or Michael Kors, which messed with the judging tone of the season. Boooo.
This is the first season of PR where I missed episodes and never bothered to watch them later. I did remember that the finale was on that night but I watched King of the Hill instead. I don't even like that show but it doesn't stab me in the heart like bad PR does.
@mllej: I didn't watch any of the finale. I am probably going to watch the first few episodes of the next season, but if it continues in this vein then I'm giving up on the show. I'll find something else to watch Thursday nights, like House reruns or something.
@Zombie Ms. Skittles: Same here. I was going to hop over to Gawker's liveblog to at least see who won last night but instead asked someone to PM me on Facebook. Used to be the PRun finale was not to be missed.
I feel like Heidi should have been disqualified from the judges table for wearing that outfit.
The rest of my opinions (bc everyone cares:
Carol Hannah: Should have won. Consistently good, but the judges seemed to dismiss her, and never take notice. Her collection was the most well-made and aesthetically-pleasing, and since none of the collections were ground-breaking or interesting, that counts for a lot.
Irina: I feel like they decided she would win 3 weeks in. Her collection was monotonous, and no one piece stood out. The hats looked really forced with some of the pieces, and I don't know why she needed that extra element of cohesion when each piece looked the same anyway. Also: her urban armor back-story was blah and lacked nuance.
Althea: I've already forgotten her collectio, except that it was very Lindsay Lohan 2008. Totes high fashion.

I've said it before but: Irina. Please see Jillian Season 4 for the correct way to do armor inspiration w/ hats.
