    Dear God. I'm the type who likes to experiment a bit with my makeup and in my book, spending THAT much money on makeup that barely looks like it's even there is a crime. I know that's supposed to be the point - to look natural - but I'll take smoky eyes or red lips over a rainbow of beige any day.


    Of course, it helps that I'm not going into politics.

    I don't agree with anything that comes out of her mouth, but she is a very pretty 44 year old. I'd kill for that kind of skin. Of course, I would not be on for the clean livin', so there's that.

    Fake eyelashes beneath glasses? I can only imaginge the lashes hitting the lenses, which the few times that's happened to me with sunglasses = super annoying.

    @sportz.star: I was just thinking the same thing. My natural eyelashes hit the lenses of one of my pairs of glasses, so I can't even imagine how crazy fake eyelashes with glasses would be. They must curl the hell out of them?

    @Elaken: No! it's totally standard! You can even check it out in some stores (I don't know if you're anywhere near a Strawberry or a M.A.C. store, but they both carry E.L.F. products). Their philosophy (I swear, I don't work for them, I'm just addicted to them) is that this way you can afford to buy a work make-up wardrobe, and one for your home (car, night-out-purse etc). The quality's decent and the selection's good -- and they do send you really good deals if you're on their mailing list.

    @tscheese: Technically they're strands of two or three lashes. They are actually cheap, but hard enough to put on that hiring someone to put them on you is where the excess comes in!

    @pantsless economist: High end makeup is made from the excrement of celebrities and baby sweat. Low end makeup is made from chemically replicated tears of the workers in the factories that manufacture cosmetics.
