I always love how totally unsexy Heidi Klum's Halloween costumes are. She's like the opposite of everybody - she's sexy all the rest of the year, so this is her chance to be totally unsexy.
Jezzies living in countries other than the US, Canada, and Great Britain - is Halloween not a big deal where you live? I was reading a crafting website and there were so many comments to the effect of "I wish I lived in the US so I could do something like this!"
And Gene Simmons, lame. You can't be what you are. That's like doctors who "dress up" as doctors.
@vulcanized: I taught English in a rural village in Japan for two years and during Halloween time, I would dress up to school and teach Halloween lessons, which I think everyone got a kick out of it. One year, in one of my elementary schools, all the students and teachers dressed up and the students trick or treated from classroom to classroom, which was ADORABLE. I also taught some of my students how to make Jack O'Lanterns (Japanese pumpkins, by the way, really difficult to carve). However, if the person in my position wasn't really into Halloween, they wouldn't have celebrated it at all, other than a lesson in the English text book about Jack O'Lanterns. I think in cities where there are big expat communities, such as Tokyo, there might be more serious Halloween celebrations.
And you kinda make me feel bad because I'm an amateur belly dancer and I dressed up as a belly dancer yesterday. I guess when I go professional, I won't dress up as a belly dancer on Halloween anymore, but it was really fun to pretend I was the real thing for one night. #gallery
@Sputnik_Sweetheart: No, you go on with your bad Halloween belly dancing self. I just feel like that outfit is basically Gene Simmons's uniform (I mean, how long was KISS around before we even knew what he actually looked like?), so it isn't really "dressing up". That outfit is basically his identity - he's dressed up as himself. It would be like John Roberts putting on his robe and telling people he's dressed up as a Supreme Court justice. I think the fun of Halloween is being something you're actually not. #gallery
@vulcanized: well, to be fair to Gene Simmons, that pic was taken when he was performing at VooDoo Fest in New Orleans. He's probably contractually obligated to show up in the makeup... #gallery
Half an hour ago I was watching "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" which is quite depressing. Seeing good ol' Brad dressed as eveybody's (ie my kids') favorite DJ Lance Bass while I'm still kind of in my Benjamin Button induced funk is some kind of mind freak. AND THE BEST THING EVER.
Also WHAT IS HE DRINKING? I need to know! It looks like either milk or some kind of Bailey's mixed drink... #gallery
@haguenite: Holy shit that is cute. Why is Wesley wearing a suit, though? (I know their real names, they'll always be Wesley and Willow to me.) #gallery
@Antrack: Reminds me of all the parents at the zoo. Dragging a large cooler-- we've got grapes for the kids and Bud Light for the parents. Good stuff. #gallery
@Snowbunny: Yeah, it made sense to me, but I never saw anyone do it when I was growing up in Florida or when I lived in Chicago for the past 10 years. #gallery
@Antrack: Growing up, some houses we trick or treated to would have Jello shots or "punch" for parents to keep them going. My parents loved it, haha. #gallery
@IBleedGlitter: The High Priestess of Tinsel: I love it too. It is always so creative. People with the gumption to really go all out are awesome. #gallery
@IBleedGlitter: The High Priestess of Tinsel: She had on fishnet stockings, thigh high boots, and no pants on. She was like awesome from the waist up and wah wah wahhhh from the waist down. #gallery

Brooke's trying for flapper. I did it so much better though - and I spent about $9 on the whole outfit.
Meanwhile, there was also this... #gallery
