@Azarnes: Neither actually, i said the thread not the post. There are just a lot of comments such as HanaMaru's that are really sad.

The post itself made me laugh and was timely, i was just talking about that increasing the queer population would go a long way toward solving many of the world's current problems, although i think it will happen naturally and we dont need to involve advertisers.

This is reminding me also of the first time I even hinted at being interested in women (though I prefer teh menz):

Mom and I were driving back from Richmond (FAKE VIRGINIA!), I had my feet up on top of the dashboard, the heat was blasting, and I admitted that I looked at women sometimes too. My mom laughed at me and said sarcastically, "Yeah but you wouldn't want to KISS one, would you? Gross."

Haven't said a word about it since then. Don't mind me with my footie players alternating with pictures of ScarJo on my desktop background. Nom. Equal opportunity nom.

This might be a little controversial, but in my experience, I found it very interesting to note that when sleeping with a woman, there was a total lack of subliminal threat, a kind of equality in the room which was very relaxing.

I have never been raped or even seriously sexually threatened, and my boyfriend is a very gentle guy, but he, like most men, is stronger than me. And, he's a guy. And whether or not you're aware of it, that creates a power dynamic in the bedroom. Hetero sex is, at the end, about penetration, and penetration, even if welcomed, is an intrusion.

I'm probably not conveying this properly but I did find sleeping with a woman to be very relaxing, very comforting, noticeably absent in any potential of threat.

Also, much more relaxing in that I didn't at any time feel like I had to be paranoid about hiding unfortunate lumps or anything like that - and again, I'm not at all inhibited in bed or ashamed of my body, but it just was so NOT an issue.

Not sure if I'm explaining this properly, though. Or how it would translate to a tagline in an ad ...

I know it is not a choice to be gay or straight but I would like to believe i would be open to the experience. I like the way SticksnStones put it, "How about the pride (and pleasure) of knowing you are open-minded enough to experience and accept love in all its many forms regardless of which gender offers it to you?" So once again forgive me for putting my foot in my mouth, I have the real bad habit of doing that.
