    I have a glass of wine before I have sex most of the time because if I'm having sex I'm with my boyfriend and we've both probably had two looooong days and spent the majority of the evening in the kitchen cooking dinner.

Study participants were asked to rate the level of change in their lives, then choose between American potato chips and British chips with odd flavors like Camembert and plum. Those experiencing more change were more likely to choose the unusual chips."

    Hmmm. If i were offered free plum-flavored chips, I'm probably choose them just to try them. It seems like they should have asked people specifically what their favorite comfort food is, instead of offering people something new and different (and free and not available in the US).

    I'm taking a class on Feminism and Sexual Assault, and the topic of prosecution statistics came up. It's chilling. The British govermnent reviewing the rape/sexual assault statistics really makes me optimistic that change will happen.

    @Sanfo: Don't be. The same British government instituted a review of the same statistics in 2001, 2004 and 2005.

    The conviction rate has gone up 0.2% since the last one andthe number of reported rapes are simply recorded as 'no crime' and not investigated or recorded in any way has gone past 40% of all reported rapes since then.

    The government knows exactly what the problems are, but it will take huge amounts of money and a major shake up of the police and Crown Prosecution Service to do anything about it, so they continue to commission reviews to pretend they are doing something. It's called fiddling while Rome burns...
