    She is wonderful. Not to mention her cartoon (Mighty B!) is awesome and disgusting all at once... it's like Ren and Stimpy with a female lead.

    So very true.

    Today, I heard a guy make an unwelcome pass at a girl, and all she did was laugh and meekly giggle "Sorry, I have a boyfriend..." and slink away. I gave him a look that could burn through metal. If he didn't see it, he certainly felt it.

    @beastybeasty: I...don't think I intimated that she shouldn't be in the media? She can go in front of a tv camera every damn day and talk about the glory of clowns, and I'd still defend her right to do so.


    I object to her being painted as any kind of icon for feminism, and I *really* object to her being held up as a feminist literary scholar, but that's about framing, and not her right to get up there and spout off about the unfunnyness of women. Have at it, Germaine. And I will continue to hate on you from afar.
