@Nora Bombay: I found a copy at a library used book sale and found myself transfixed by how incredibly over-the-top it was with the never stop pleasing your man/never stop severely dieting/don't you dare let it show stuff. It seems almost parodic, and I was going to buy it, just to put on my coffee table and scare people with it, but the more I read it, the worse I felt about myself, to the point where I thought it would poison me if I brought it home. I hid it at the bottom of a horizontal stack and backed away.

@inabook: I drank a coffee mug full of wine during an evening class once when I was a 3L. They were always serving it for some speaker or another, it was just too tempting to resist.

I once read a horrifying story in one of those free magazines they hand out to law students about a woman who brought mouthwash for OCIs and wound up drinking it all day long to cope. Also, one guy in my class used to bring a full bottle of Jack Daniels and set it on his desk during exams, and as soon as time was called he cracked that shit open and took a humongous swig.

All of which is to say, law school is where functional alcoholics hone their skills.
