Remember when Kermit used to do the news anchor skits on Sesame Street? Well, my ex-bf grew up wondering about Kermit's middle name, because he always heard it as "Kermit D. Frog, here..." So he was like, "What's his middle name? Dan? David? I wanna know!" And all the grown-ups he asked thought he was crazy.
@Kivrin: That's too cute. I never even noticed that on Sesame St. and its always on at my house-(I have 7 younger siblings so some kiddie show is always on) Now that I'm thinking about it what did that D stand for?
Was anyone else incredibly disturbed by the NIN/Kermit "Hurt" spoof? I know it's old news, but that Kermit stuffed animal totally triggered a very unpleasant memory.
Those are some well behaved babyehs. I remember doing storytime with 2-4 year olds and it always resulted with them creeping up my person like some sort of sloth, dangling off my knees, asking me to show them the pictures again, and pointing out the fact the cat has a HAT, which is utterly ridiculous to a 2 year old mind. And there was a lot of giggling.
Kids at that age are basically like permanently stoned people I think. Except less mellow.
@WaterTart: Oh god, the stammer. That and when they just start screaming one word over and over again and you are supposed to derive meaning from it. With the expectant baby face that dissolves you into some sort of maternal cesspool. Those were the days.
@WaterTart: What a cat and I have to get that book for my 1 yr old baby sister. I think she'll like this and that's my story and I'm sticking to it.Lol.
Why is it that whenever a president or first lady reads to kindergartners or whatnot, it always seems to be in North or South Carolina? Did they hook that up in the Constitution somewhere?
It is interesting that those two little boys have "Army" cuts. Granted, I live in Hippytown, NY, but I never see little kids with haircuts like that. I guess the reasons are obvious, what little boy doesn't want to be like his daddy? But it struck me a little.
@kelsium: When my brother was little, he used to love having his hair that short. He would sometimes just sit and run his hand back and forth on his head because the texture was fun for him. And it was easy to take care of for my parents, so it was a win-win. Basically, I wouldn't think too much of it.

Kid: "Umm, [Water Tart]? The cat...the cat...the cat...the cat...the cat...the cat...he-he-he-he-he-he-he-he-he-he-he has a hat on his head.
Me: Yes! Very good!

He was eating a cake in the tub. Yes he was! The hot water was on, and the cold water too, and I said to the cat, 'what a bad thing to do!'
It made me giggle when I was six. It makes me giggle now.
