At what point are we going to give up this charade? If you are a woman, you are not necessarily a feminist. In fact, with all the help anti-feminism is getting from supported feminists, they dont even have to worry anymore.

Personally, I dont know anyone who is a member of NOW, but I know a truck load of people who consider themselves feminists. But this nonsense about Palin supporters doing anything but serving their own good and making waves in multiple communities just to gain more power is disgusting. A sexist woman is not a feminist and supporting her by doing sexist, ageist and racist things is not only disgusting but again helping out the other side.

I used to be a member of NOW, but I got fed up with some of their causes (for example, fighting a satellite TV provider over a threat to drop the Lifetime Network) ... seriously, you think you're helping women by protecting our access to Lifetime????

I do consider myself a feminist, but now my charitable donations go to Planned Parenthood instead.

@flashingJ: I had a similar experience with Ms Magazine- I dropped my subscription after they kept inviting me to go on an all-inclusive Ms-themed cruise. I realized my money was better spent else where.
