@the_poptart: And I thought -- "you are being paid a zillion dollars to play this role. Suck it the fuck up and do yoga, and quit whinging, Laurie, you piker." I, uh, need to work on my empathy, but then that's why I can relate to House at times.
If Family Guy wins I will not be impressed. I stopped watching that show ages ago because I got tired of all the goddamn rape jokes. It's just not a funny show anymore. It's not fresh at all anymore, it's grown stale. In the beginning it was pretty amusing but now, it just feels like the writers are bitter and angry about something and we're supposed to laugh along.
@TurtleSpeak: I am so disappointed that Family Guy is the first animated TV show nominated for Best Comedy Series. The Simpsons or South Park deserved that honor, they were groundbreaking when they first came out and are still funnier than Family Guy despite being past their prime. Family Guy stole its set up from The Simpsons and its "outrageousness" from South Park. Then they threw in a couple of references to the '80s.
And just because, here's one of my favorite songs from the Doctor Horrible musical commentary, Commentary! The Musical. (though, love Nathan though I do, I'm going to have to disagree with the premise of the song. It is still awesome).
I don't know if I could possibly be more underwhelmed by the casting of The Runaways movie. I don't know if I can take watching Dakota Fanning spit out "Ch-ch-ch cherrryyy bomb!"
you know what would help Hugh Laurie's knees? yoga. and sex with me. lots and lots of it. don't worry, Hugh, you can just lie back and relax, I'll do all the work.
Sigh. I love Kristin Bell. I just started watching Dark Angel, and oh my God, that show would have been a million times better if she'd starred in it instead of Jessica Alba.
Why is it that Family Guy is likely to win, when the Simpson's even today, is a better show.
Family Guy makes me laugh at times, but it's usually a guilty laugh, cause: often, it's just so mean-spirited.
If NPH whips out his Ph.D. in Horribleness at the Emmys, I will watch for the first time EVER.
"Avril Lavigne "married too young and she finally realized that.""
Why does this have to be an "I told you so" kinda thing? She was young, but she wasn't some child bride or anything. She was an adult, her marriage, like many marriages, failed. That's just uncalled for, imo.\
Oh, and Hugh Laurie: come to mama. I'll make your hips happy...
@LaComtesse: I'll be watching on the off chance that Nathan Fillion (aka Captain Tight Pants) will be reprising his role as Captain Hammer. Captain, my captain, indeed...
Congratulations to Lucinda Williams and whoever the lucky guy is. What would that be like, being married to a gifted songwriter?
Passionate kisses, passionate kisses from you.
