    I have this odd idea that one should be famous for the things one does, not lies about---and that those things are worth doing whether or not they get you fame. For these people, fame's the only thing, so they lie about doing good works elsewhere. It's all about attention.

    Gee, what was it they said yesterday on "Today?" Something like "Matt, this is the most devastating thing that's ever happened to us. Our lives have been destroyed." Sure looks like it.

    Of course she's all smiles, she's already been cast on the Real Housewives of D.C., the whole season's in the can, and the gate crashing thing is going to be the season finale (thanks for the info Gawker). It's cases like this when I wish we still had the pillory as a form of punishment.
