I am a longtime lurker here but I've never commented before partly because I feel I lack the requried wittiness to keep up with you ladies. So as a representative of those who love to read Jezebel but don't feel like we can contribute anything meaningful to the conversation I'd like to request a way to read all threads without having to click 'show hidden threads' at the bottom of the page. I've seen people say you can log in to change settings, but if the default page setting is going to be featured threads only, perhaps the button to show all threads could be placed above the comments. That way people like me without an account can read the entire thread without having to scroll through the whole page first.

I don't care about stars. All I care about is being able to easily read a blog that I have enjoyed for a while now. But suddenly the "improvements" mean I can't see the opening paragraphs of posts anymore; there are no longer page numbers at the bottom I can easily skip through; and this whole Twitter-esque hashtag implementation has left me seriously longing for the old days.

This redesign doesn't make things easier, it makes them more complicated. I think I'll abandon the Gawker family for a while until they can get their issues "hashed" out. Ugh.

The lack of "pages" on the website is extremely frustrating. Instead of being able to go back to say page 2 of a day's posts, we have to "load more posts" every time? This feature has made me extremely disinclined to read posts from earlier in the day, and all this can do is prevent more interesting, yet not as recent, content from being overlooked. #comments

My preferences are set to see all threads, but I still have to manually click see hidden threads almost every time. As much as I love you starred elite, I want to see everyone... #comments

This seems like a significant bug: If you put a hashtag in a comment, and then you go back and edit the comment, everything up to the hashtag disappears. See [jezebel.com] for an example of this in action.

ETA: Maybe this is just when the original comment was a response to someone and thus starts with "@". On edit, everything between "@" and "#" is removed.

"Show hidden comments" doesn't seem to work any more... at least not with out crashing my browser (FF2 and IE8). #comments

OMG please bring back expanded view. I can only see headlines, no pics, no intro sentences and so I don't click on any articles. Surely that can't be the point of the resdesign? #comments

It may have been my mistake, but I noticed that my attempt to post to # groupthink ended up going to # tips when I tried to do so from the main page. I erased the # tips that was there when I clicked on the box and wrote in # groupthink, but I guess it kept the original tag somehow? I'm not sure, but if someone has an explanation or a fix I'd appreciate it, so I don't spam # tips with my # groupthink comments! (and I should note I put in the spaces so as not to spam either thread with this comment, but I didn't do so in the original comment) #comments

The one bug I've been noticing is that I have the option to see all comments (Tier 1 and 2) checked in my profile, but in some cases still have to click the "see hidden comments" option at the bottom of each post.

Also, I add my voice to the chorus asking for comment notifications from unstarred/Tier-2 commenters. I actually realized that I wasn't getting notifications for *all* comments when I saw an unstarred commenter had replied to a comment of mine. The same would go for hashtags, if I could figure those out. #comments

When photos are in the gallery view usually the first picture after the intro photo doesn't load. It doesn't even show a box where it should be. It's just that nothing ever shows up. I use IE 7. (I think that's the version). #comments

I set my profile to default to showing all hidden threads, but when I logged in this morning the threads were still hidden, and when I clicked on "show hidden threads" it took a bit for them to display. #comments

I really liked the option we had to "expand" or "condense." Are we still going to have those options, or will we have to view only the condensed version? I must admit I don't like having to open an article just to find out what it is about.
