    I feel for this poor kid. He seems so very uncomfortable with the image he has had to create for Twilight. I recently watched the DVD with the commentary on and the entire time he picked apart his performance, commenting on how ridiculous his hair was, the pretentious pea coat they costumed him with, they way the overplucked his eyebrows, and/or how awful his acting was. It was very cute. #robertpattinsonvanityfair

    Every time I read an article about this guy, I find myself laughing hysterically and also feeling like someone should loan him their secret cabin in Vermont where he could hide out.

    I know he's set for life, etc etc, but then you read stuff like this from GQ:
    The other day, he went out, shook off three paparazzi-mobiles, hit the drive-thru at the In-N-Out. He was going to eat a burger in the car. He drove around and found a gas-station parking lot a few blocks away, intending to sit there and eat, "just hidden, in the darkness.

    "And I turn around," he says, "and in the car next to me, there's a woman giving a man a blow job! Right there, in the car park!"

    This is what this kind of attention does to you; to do the things that normal people do, you have to go where normal people go to do furtive things.

    Somebody got pictures of him anyway. Hidden in the darkness! Like some kind of Hamburglar!

    And while I'm laughing, because that's hilarious, I also think -- jeez, poor kid. #robertpattinsonvanityfair

    He is so dorky and awkward and neurotic. I want to be his friend and drink beer and make lame jokes together. His interviews are ALWAYS entertaining and I kind of love that he isn't as big headed as he could be with all the success, attention and adulation he receives. #robertpattinsonvanityfair

    The thing to admire about Robert Pattinson is the fact that he just won't play the game, however many time his "handlers" have tried to coach him. Yeah, he's an ordinary young man, caught up in a mania the franchise have gleefully fueled for huge profits.

    I'm sure he & Kristen Stewart just couldn't turn down the shitload of money they were offer for the sequels.

    Kristen has consistently made it clear she finds the twihards a pain in the butt. However, its given her more choices in future roles, which I'm sure she's pleased about.

    Robert Pattinson however, may just quit the business. #robertpattinsonvanityfair

    This is pretty much in keeping with everything I've read about him, and the commentary on Twilight which is hilarious (Rifftrax Twilighte is even better). Neither Stewart nor Pattinson seem to have any illusions about those roles, and neither take themselves too seriously.

    That second response might be the definition of butt hurt, though. The more "stars" are depicted as real people the better. #robertpattinsonvanityfair
