    Also, loved the Tobey MacGuire quote but would like to add to what he said that we could also stand to support the families of the people who go away to fight a little more too. They are the ones who take on the burden of responsibility for the emotional health of troops, and are the ones who suffer with the damage to their loved ones.

    If I never have to hear another sneering nasty remark about how all soldier's wives are whores who can't wait for their men to go away so they can slut it up... well I just don't think that will happen. #lindsaylohangerardbutler

    @bitchyolympian: I think she's referring to the fact that the movie is really not about the turbulent politics of the time. The film's focus is Victoria-- the teenage girl, transitioning to her as woman and as a side note, the queen she becomes.

    But yeah, I'm a history major. It's not boring people :o). The movie is amazing-- I can't wait to see it in theaters. #lindsaylohangerardbutler

    That episode of ER was what made me a Ewan McGregor fan; I never forgot his performance, even though I didn't know who the actor was. Years later, when I was in high school, I wrote him a fan letter gushing not about the recently released Moulin Rouge, but about his role as the robber.

    He sent me an autographed photo in response. When I took it to school the next day, everyone thought it was Kenneth Branagh. #lindsaylohangerardbutler

    I have known people like Lindsay Lohan - people who ALWAYS are having stuff happen to them...so in so is out to get them...they got a gun pulled on them when they were just minding their own business at 2am on the local street corner...everyone is so MEAN to them...

    There is always something happening and always some huge drama.

    Girl, you have got to realise that maybe SOME of this drama is avoidable (and is some of it made up/exaggerated for attention?).

    This is to the drama queens I know as WELL as Lindsay.

    January Jones should be fun, but I am dancing with a little cartoon bird at the idea of Joseph Gordon-Levitt hosting SNL. He made me very happy in (500) Days of Summer. That's gonna be a fun live-blog.

    I'm pretty sure with January Jones, SNL will already have more female hosts than it did all of last year. That's also nice.

    @Eleanor Ramilly: Not necessarily disagreeing with you here, but the Keep a Breast Foundation has been around for a few years now. Artists paint the cast, and a lot of them end up looking pretty cool.

    @BlondeGoddess: Also, there's no smoking in any restaurants in RI. And pretentious toolbags go to the Cook House. If the waiter did get fired, though, I'm guessing it was for other reasons.

    @BlondeGoddess: I always WANT to like Kevin Spacey, but my word, the more I hear about him, the more of an asshole I'm convinced he is.

    The thing that really frustrates me about this is that it's about smoking. I'm married to a severe asthmatic, and if we were in that restaurant, there's a good chance we would have had to get up to leave. Leave or risk my husband being sick in bed for days or even longer. (It's happened before.)

    Obviously I'm putting this on a way more personal level than I probably should -- but few things piss me off more than arrogant smoking in non-smoking places. (In areas where smoking is allowed, you can do whatever you want -- we just avoid those places.) I don't care who you are. You shouldn't get to ruin somebody else's day because you want a cigarette. #lindsaylohangerardbutler

    @elijabet: As someone who is allergic, or at least highly sensitive, to cigarette smoke, I totally agree.

    I applauded when states started to ban smoking in restaurants and public spaces. Smoking is one of the few things that really do bother people [physically] around you. #lindsaylohangerardbutler
