    If there was such a thing as a Grad School Prom (thank God, there's not), I'd order this in a heartbeat.


    And I think that under these circumstances, the fact that the name of the site is "Light in the Box" is a wee bit hilarious, no?

    I'm pretty sure they photshopped the replacement picture. If you look closely, the corner of the top left fold has the same squared edge as the one on the right and all the shading and wrinkles are the same in both pictures. There's no way they could have gotten such an exact pose just with the ruffles tucked in.


    That said, I think the dress is unintentionally hilarious. I kind of wish I had a prom to wear it to.

    @CocoBambi: I would get it if the silhouette was a bit more flattering. I'm not a huge fan of the mermaid look. If it were shorter, and the vagina seemed to be constructed of better quality material? Yes.

    Because I don't want any cheap vaginas.

    @greengrey: Mmm, if I get it, which I am sorely tempted to do as I have a lot of boring university black tie events to attend in a few weeks, I would cut the 'tail' off so it would look more like a black satin mini dress with a huge vadge on the front.


    However cutting it might make the vagina disappear when you pin it back. Hmmm. I already have a hemp Cynthia Rowely dress/tunic to wear. I thought that was quite subversive but this is just too good to pass up...


    Oooh I also just remembered that I promised to attend an American embassy function with a friend. THIS DRESS IS PERFECT FOR THAT OCCASION! Maybe I could 'expensive it up' a little. I'm thinking with a bedazzler.
