I would like to see Tucker Max and Joe Francis mudwrestle in bikinis for the title of "World's Biggest Narcissistic, Misogynist Douchebag"
I just don't understand this vehement hatred for women. Did their mothers not hug them enough when they were children? Did a girl beat them up on the playground? WHERE DOES THIS INSANITY COME FROM?!
I am soooo out of touch here. I have no idea who this Tucker Max is...except I have a feeling he is a guy with a very small penis and mommy issues.
Am I right?
I've never heard of this guy. Who is he? I googled him, he's a comedian on Comedy Central with a book and a website? Is his movie on public access? I'm serious, who is this d-bag?
I was at this protest and I will say that being among my fellow protestors was one of the most rewarding experiences of my young life so far. We'd gotten crap all week from fellow students and still, I found myself surrounded by people who stoically stood with signs in the hope of getting some kind of a good message out there.
Bystanders going to see the movie were less than kind. I heard "Date rape isn't rape!" said to my face and "None of them have to worry about getting raped" said audibly, in a way that we were meant to hear but not directly to us. We were taunted and mocked and none of us said a word in argument back. We just stood there with our signs and stood for what we think is right.
Tucker Max and his fans are disgusting. The men and women protesting alongside me were some of the most well-spoken and beautiful people I've met in my life. His supporters were petty, mean-spirited, and immature.
@MissFiFi: We can start by ignoring all of the Rudius Media (founded by Tucker Max) sites. This includes the personal sites of Jamie Kennedy and Mark Ebner.
Ah, the pride of Duke University. To think of all these years I wasted hating Coach K and his whining, when there was a much more deserving target on the horizon in Tucker Max. I would be more conflicted if he was actually funny, but that's not the case.
@dreamweave: For grad school. For undergrad: University of Chicago, which is sort of hilarious, because it's full of lovable nerds and I just can't see him having a good time there.
I wish I knew Tucker Max. So, I could advise him that good-looking female attorneys, such as myself, didn't want to fuck him in law school or in college. That's why he has to fuck insecure college girls despite being in his 30s. So, he can talk all the shit he wants about women and how they're just essentially sexual objects, but we all know that any quality woman wouldn't fuck him with someone else's vagina.
Also, please note that this guy has a law degree from Duke and a prominent wealthy family, but his terrible personality prohibited him from having any actual chance of a real job as an attorney. He was fired after just a few weeks from his only summer job as an attorney while in law school for writing an email about how he does nothing all day at his job and that a female partner was a slutty whore who hit on him, and then had the foresight to forward it to everyone. Essentially, he is so fucking horrible that being a white male wealthy Christian in America (the royal flush) couldn't even help him from being a total fuck-up. Congratulations, Tucker. You screwed a bunch of drunk girls and wrote about it. You're a fucking genious.
@JinxyMcDeath: I don't think "objects" (or even "objectification") really describes what's going on: dehumanization. It doesn't trigger an emotional response the way "dehumanization" does. It's the reason you don't hear other groups targeted by bigotry (e.g., Latinos, gays) use "object" or "objectification." It just doesn't work.
Is it possible to be totally disgusted by a person, but still find thier (probably made-up) stories amusing?
Seriously. The cognitive dissonance generated by simultaneously being a feminist and having read and enjoyed 'I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell' is giving me a headache.
Can we ignore him until he goes away? Jez, I appreciate you're providing a forum to decry the idiocy, racism, sexism and anti-humanism that is Tucker Max, but, I just don't think he deserves a forum. Period. JUST SAY NO to Tucker Max and his "fans".
File under: feeding the trolls. This kind of garbage doesn't deserve publication beyond Tucker Max's little fan site. Why don't we go ahead and assume that everything on there is just masturbation material for the terminally obnoxious and attempt to contain the ignorant bigotry?
Do you know what? She is SO awesome. She had to know that protesting Tucker Max would earn her the ire of these douchebags, but she was brave and did it anyway. I don't think I would have been able to.
Also. I recognize that this is awful and it's good for us to discuss it. BUT. I also worry about the fact that someone found this on the Tucker Max forum, where it's just these idiots being idiots amongst themselves, and brought it out into the mainstream. Is it better to have this out there, or would it maybe have been better to just let it die in their little corner of the internet?
@laureltreedaphne: I think, in the end, it's better for people to know about assholes like this, because they're not in a corner of the internet, they're alll over it and all over real college campuses, board rooms and rape trial juries. Like KKK members hiding in a small town. Know your enemies.
