    A V. Good friend of mine just produced an event at which Don Draper (and his real life counterpart) was featured. She said that he is extremely ordinary.


    That makes me love him all the more. A man who can tap into Don Draper on the job and be a complete video game-playing goofball with bad hair every other day of the week sounds like just the man for me. (Come to think of it, except for the Don Draper bit, I married that guy. All is explained.)

    most men would kill to have that much hair still on their head.


    i think he would do best to cut it shorter. the weed-wacker look would be better with some styling product. the bangs MUST. STOP. it's very late 80's new wave band, which i noticed in his recent magazine spread inspired by 'the grapes of wrath'.


    as lovely as jennifer westfeldt is, does she smile? ever? smile while showing teeth? does she always have that pursed lip cutesy-pie look on her face?

    @rednrowdy: She's smiling in the Gap ad they did together. I can't remember if there's teeth, but there is definetely any upturning up the lips.

    The hot girlfriend is Jennifer Westfeldt, writer/star of "Kissing Jessica Stein". They've been together a loooong time.


    A friend of mine at NBC has known them both for years and years, and says Jon is a lovely person to be around while Jennifer is, well, pretty much Jessica Stein.

    Sadly, when he's not playing Don Draper, he looks strikingly like my father. Crazy hair, bright green eyes and geekiness and all. Next you're going to tell me that he wanders about in fishing pun t-shirts and jeans so old that he's ripped holes in the bottoms... and not noticed.


    This is only sad, by the way, because it ruins my Don Draper lust when I see these pictures.


    Also, why are celebrities stealing my parents' looks lately? Seriously, it's disconcerting. My parents were geeks. Pretty geeks, but still...
