    @Penny_Esq: There's definitely enough crime in Everett that could have been investigated instead of this. I'd heard rumors that the cops trumped up the charges after one tried to cop a feel and was turned down. Regardless, I think the bikini barista thing is tacky, and it's led to stalking/harassment charges in the past around here.

    @Jack_Burton: The worst part was, last night on the evening news, they showed blurry camera footage of one of the girls, and then she ducks out of view as the reporter says she "flashes her vagina". I can't see the girl hanging from the rafters with her legs spread or anything, and she's behind a counter, so I'm still trying to figure out how a woman can flash a vagina while just standing there. Are other women's vaginas placed much farther forward than mine?

    I don't want to cover for the idiots running the dog fighting ring but it was clear to me that they were fighting in the garage and the daycare was inside. The media is using the day care angle to make the story shittier but it isn't necessary- the one eyed pitbull they showed on TV was enough.

    @EKane: As a parent, I can say with complete confidence that I don't give a shit where the kids were vs. where the trained fighting dogs were. The story IS shittier with the daycare angle thrown in. What kind of caregivers engage in this behavior? Crap ones, that's who. Would you feel the same about a meth lab in the garage? Grow operation in the basement?

    @EKane: Yes, abusing dogs is bad enough. But abusing dogs, and have abused dogs anywhere near kids, and having the mindset to abuse dogs shows reckless disregard for life. People who abuse animals often also abuse people - having a daycare means there are more potential victims. If they had dogfights in the garage but a kennel inside, would it mean that the puppies in the kennel should be kept there? No. It would make the dogfight angle even worse.

    @maude_flanders: I think its the first episode. She has to borrow clothes from wardrobe for a meeting with Tracy at at fancy restaurant which he, on a whim, moves to a soul-food dive, then a strip club.

    @Sev: Luckily, there are excellent pit bull rescues in the Chicago area ([www.midwestrescueabull.org] is one, if any Jezebels in the area are interested), which makes me like people a little. A very little, but still. Hopefully, the trauma the dogs sustained isn't irreversible, and local services will step up to address the injuries and rehabilitation.

    @GirlFailer: Yeah. The one in downtown Portland is called, creatively, Bikini Coffee. There are some coffee stands out in the suburbs that also feature baristas in bikinis, but they aren't part of the chain as far as I know.

    @GirlFailer: It's an indoor coffee shop, just like a Starbucks, so bikinis all year round! I actually think it opened in the winter. I generally avert my eyes when I go by it. I'm embarrassed for those girls, but I guess a job's a job.

    @NellMood: I actually think it was covered on the Travel Channel. If it's the place I'm thinking of, it's a small little stand that you go to a drive-thru and the girls wear special bikinis for certain holidays.
