    As a disclaimer, I'm so completely and utterly over both Jon and Kate, so much so I can't believe that I even care to write this. But. Reading the linked article, it doesn't sound like the girlfriend / babysitter / whathaveyou was actually babysitting. As in, Jon was there to be fighting with Kate, so clearly there was no need for the babies to be sat, as it were. The one article suggested Kate just wanted to come visit the kids in a non-Kate visiting period, which understandable I guess (you want to see your kids and all), but that's raking the muck a bit if you ask me, especially since the paps are always around her (or so her confessionals on the show would have me believe). There is some name calling and judging going on here for this third party that seems a little unwarranted. Even is she is a skank (I kid), who says she can't hang out with a bunch of kids, while their own father is in the house? Jon's an asshat, but I don't think he'd endanger those kids in any way.

    My bf did a service project w/ the Clinton Global Initiative in New Orleans w/ Brad Pitt. They did clean-up in the Lower Ninth. He said Pitt shook everyone's hand (and this was a few hundred people) and stuck around all day in the summer heat wielding a broom with everyone else.

    I'm indifferent to him as an actor, but as a human, Pitt really seems like good people.

    I understand wanting to keep the home that's big enough to house 8 children, but it's a really bad idea of Jon and Kate to be sharing the same house. Even if they each have their own place for when they don't have the kids, a situation like last night was just bound to happen. As innapropriate as it was for Jon to have a casual date babysitting, it's equally out of line for Kate to come barging in, with police no less. Neither action was particularly good for the kids.

    @clevernamehere: I don't really understand the timeline here, but all the gossip sites I've read say that she was their babysitter before he hooked up with her. Still skeezy of him, but not nearly as stupid as if it had been the reverse.

    @nora charles: There is also always the chance that he never hooked up with her, and had her come to babysit (or help him with his millions of kids) because she is good with the kids.
