    Cher actually looks a little more like her old self and a little less plastic-surgery in this picture. What ever she is doing or refrain from doing she should keep up with that.

    I've always loved Carrie Fisher. Isn't she also a screenwriter? IMDB doesn't have too much stuff on her, but I thought for certain she's either written a bunch or ghostwritten screenplays.


    Unless I am confusing her with Nora Ephron, another woman I love. (I'm allowing this excuse because I just watched When Harry Met Sally when I was sick for the upteenth time.)

    @taranwanderer: She's mostly what is called a script doctor, ie. a screenwriting editor who improves someone else's screenplay. She is credited for the screenplay adaptation of Postcards from the edge, though.


    I like her a lot: she's very pretty and smart. Definitely not a bimbo. And of course, When Harry met Sally is one of my fave movies ever (weird to think she was about my age when she played in it!).


    Anyways, this makes me want to borrow her books at the library and get the new one when it comes out. :)

    I like Princess Leia a lot, even her alter ego, Carrie Fisher.


    Did anyone else, while watching that 30 Rock episode where Liz dresses as Princess Leia to get out of jury duty, start thinking too hard about the fact that Carrie Fisher guest-starred on 30 Rock as not-Carrie Fisher and paraphrased lines spoken by Princess Leia, and this being a TV-universe in which Star Wars exists, one might wonder why Liz Lemon did not question not-Carrie Fisher's close resemblence to a movie character with whom Liz Lemon clearly has a connection?


    Because I didn't think about it either.
