We didn't get cable (satellite really) until '99 I think so we never saw Kilbourn, just Jon. I fell in love with the show the first time I saw it. We used to TiVO it every day until I didn't keep up. It is a PITA to TiVO especially if you want to TiVO the Colbert Report too.

So we've missed a lot of episodes lately, but I still love the show.

Wow, this makes me feel old and I'm only 23. And that makes my parents realllly bad parents because their 12 year old was watching Killborn on Comedy Central at 1130 at night... and I watched this show EVERY night. Did they not care?? Did I not have a bedtime??

@Diziet_Sma: I know. I KNOW!!! I have moments when I really just have to take a deep breath and go to my happy place. Mind you, it was recently fore-closed on, after having been washed away in a hurricane that was entirely predicted, and the National Guard can't help me rebuild because they've lost too many soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan, and my letters to the editor about same have resulted in a file being opened against me in Homeland Security. But still. It's a happy place.

@NotInKansasAnymore: Because the Repubs cleverly created a situation where the American people would be wary of creating that kind of situation in the future. Be honest, now, doesn't the term "Special Prosecutor" make you want to shudder?

If Bill Clinton hadn't been spending all of his time tied up with the Repubs desperation to keep him from getting a second term, then maybe we would have been more prepared for 9/11 if you know what I'm sayin'.

AND I think that Bush should be tried for war crimes now that he is out of office.

@sportz.star: I am embarrassed that I know this, but there it is: Two kids. He has two kids, a boy and a girl, and no, I find no significance in the fact that I, too, have two children, a boy and a girl, in the same order and everything. None whatsoever.

And I suspect that this shared fact of our lives is part of why I, too, look a decade older today.

I will confess right now that I loved Craig Kilborn's Daily Show and his 5 questions and I wasn't a fan of Stewart initially. TDS was a totally different show with Craig. Funny but totally different in almost every way.

@morninggloria: I know, me too. My husband and I had just moved here from Over the Sea, and we regularly watched Craig Kilbourn on the tiny TV we'd borrowed from my sister, whilst sitting on the mattress pad that served as our couch. Oh sigh! Craig is leaving!
