Kate Gosselin said that her kids miss the TLC cameras and were all "sobbing" at the loss of their pals: "They cried in the van on the way home from school the other day," Kate told Babs. "They kept asking, 'Where's the camera crew? Where's the camera crew? We miss them.' And I said, 'Our show is over.'"
I call absolute and utter horseshit that this actually happened, Kate. At best, you're projecting your own feelings onto your children. Get over it, the world doesn't care about you.
I don't want to love Julia Roberts, but she sounds like the most fun ever. Plus, I am not convinced she was drunk - she makes comments like this every single time she's on Letterman.
I think it's really sweet that Madonna's son likes to dress up and dance like her. Aside from being the original queen of pop, she also seems like a good mom, and her kid thinks the world of her. I should hope that one day my kid would get such a kick out of what I do for a living. (not bloody likely though)
I'm so looking forward to A Single Man. Not just because one of Colin's co-stars (Matthew Goode, also known as Ratinski's Future Husband) is one of my favorite actors, but also because the story it's based upon is so beautiful.
@A Small Turnip: And this is what Colin Firth had to say about it: "I daresay we aren't the first men to have kissed on screen - and Matthew was good at it"
I know most people know Rachel True from The Craft, but it's sad that her most recent role was in the adorable Half and Half, which went unnoticed by the mainstream for years. That show had its problems (especially with all the colorism and jokes about her character's hair), but it got canceled right when it started getting good!
@DorothyZbornak: Maybe it will be more like "While You Were Sleeping" only this time, the actors will *all* be asleep for the whole movie, and we'll all just imagine the plot quietly in the darkened theater.
@A Small Turnip: 90 minutes of quiet reflection on the theme of Pretend Wives could do us all some good, I 'spect. If only the Jennifer, Adam and the producers of this film had taken the time to do the same...
I AM GOING TO SEE "MERCY MADONNA OF MALAWI" ON THURSDAY!
Sorry for shouting, but I feel that's an announcement that merits all-caps. I saw the performers on the street today (in costume, including the blonde wig on the dude who plays Madonna) and asked for a flyer, and I got two friends to agree to come see it with me, and we're going to go on Thursday, and I am absolutely sure it's going to be AWESOME! Woohoo!
@MizJenkins: It's a musical, performed by a theatre group from Malawi, about Madonna's adoption of Mercy James. Madonna is played by a Malawian man in a blonde wig. It's playing here in Edinburgh until the end of August, and the reviews of it have been quite positive. It's been mentioned on Jezebel a couple of times I think, and on Racialicious and reviews of it are all over the UK media. I'm not sure if links will work, but here are some URLS:

Secret keeping: not Madonna's strong suit. We all saw Truth or Dare.

I am looking forward to it like I can't even find words to say.

David: No really, stop encouraging her.
Mercy: I wonder if I could make it over that fence while she's distracted...
