    What about Donna Edwards from MD?
    She's serving now, but only because long-time Congressman Al Wynn stepped down when she beat him in the primary, and she was tapped to take finish his term in a special election.
    Now she's been elected in her own right.

    They are saying that the Mary Jo Kilroy race could take months to settle. It took till December in 2006 :-( She's a really awesome woman and I'll be really bummed if she looses again. At least I know she'll keep on trying, and keep on working on a local level.

    Cynthia Lummis is not awesome. Of course, she's replacing the least awesome Congresswoman ever, Barbara Cubin, so she can't really do worse. God I wish Trauner would have won.


    But I live in Wyoming, which, if you look at the states' proportionality of McCain/Obama votes, IS THE MOST REPUBLICAN STATE IN THE UNION as of this election. Really, fellow Wyomingites? More republican than Utah? Really?

    I didn't pay much attention in Government class (which I now regret) but are we not including State Senators?


    And while we're at it, what is the difference in responsibility, duties, etc. between a State Senator and a Senator?

    @evil.overlordof.fakeamerica(mightaswelllive): For one, because there are hundreds upon hundreds of them. State Senators represent districts in state legislatures, whereas federal Senators represent the entire state in the United States Senate. Except for Perdue, this is a federal list.

    You left out Wendy Davis, who beat the pants off of corrupt good ol' boy Kim Brimer for the district 10 senate race in Texas although the senate race was missing from some ballots!
