To be fair, in the interview with Hilary Swank she says that she sleeps naked, and sometimes her boyfriend's son comes in. I didn't get the impression that she was running around, all "check me out, young boy!"

In my experience six year olds don't think about nakedness in a sexual way unless someone teaches them too. In th US we really seem to be pretty prudish about the body. Nakedness is not evil and does not have to equal something sexual. (Can you tell I live outside the US now?)

That being said - if I knew my ex's new (stunning) girlfriend was wandering around in her birthday suit in front of my kid and I then heard about it I think I might just start to have a problem with it...lol

@applejuice: hearted hearted hearted! Exposing yourself to a stranger is abusive - a parent or guardian you trust and love being naked during bathing or changing is perfectly natural and much more likely to lead to healthy attitudes about the body than not.

@sybann: being naked is not the same thing as "exposing yourself". Abusive? Just because you don't like something does not make it "abusive". You do disservice to actual victims of abuse when you throw that word around willy-nilly.

@Harlot Brontë: THANKS! And you are right - I have nothing against nakedness and nudity - I come from a very free-thinking family in that regard. What I said was that a stranger who exposes themself to you could be considered a form of abuse. Think skeevy flasher in a trenchcoat - and since I have had this happen to me and to friends, I AM speaking from experience and as a survivor of much more serious abuse, I don't take the word lightly. So there *tongue*!

@Triphena: Yes, because that won't affect his custodial situation at ALL. I mean, it's one thing when it's your kid, you're family. But to walk around naked in front of another person's kid veers strongly on the weird and inappropriate side, no?

@Hooplehead: No, only if people are repressed. I grew up seeing naked adults at beaches in Europe, and friends of my aunt visiting the house with a pool. They weren't my family, they were just adults swimming or changing. Wasn't weird, and I haven't been scarred by it.

If anything, seeing naked bodies and the vast variety of shapes and sizes they come in leads to less body issues later in life, in my opinion.

Creativity does not have to equal drug and alcohol abuse. But I'm willing to bet becoming obscenely rich and successful for very little actual work makes people more inclined to drown their doubts in a bottle.

Hey Dina, maybe inflating Lilo's ego is a bit much, eh? What came down that runway wasn't genius. Your daughter needs to know she is a real, NORMAL girl who is susceptible to alll of life's problems (addiction) like the rest of us. Putting her on a pedestal is not helping her realize this.

Regarding M. Lohan's intervention: I've never been to an intervention, so I might have the idea wrong, so someone please correct me if I am, but wouldn't part of the concept involve a bit of surprise? I mean if your loved one, like Lindsay really has a problem, they probably are going to be a bit wary of going over to your house to play a nice game of uno, because if they were ready to face their problem they wouldn't need an intervention? Maybe I'm wrong, but I kind of feel like by talking about his intervention to the media and having all sorts of people aware of it, if Michael Lohan really intended to have an intervention it's pretty much not going to work now? Then again, it is Michael Lohan, the original bad dad.

Oh and Dina, regarding Ungaro - yeah I think some of the critics were a little mean simply because it was Lindsay... but I also think genius is way way way to strong of a word. Has a decent eye for color, yes. Genius... she's got some proving to do before that becomes more than a "mom" statement. But other than that, at least one Lohan parent sounds sane this morning... for now.
