    I don't understand who shops at anthropologie. I'm a young, creative person who likes their clothes, but can't even swing their clerance rack. It seems like if you made enough money to shop there, you wouldn't have a lot of places to wear embroidered broomskirts and things.

    I'm happy for Thakoon but I still vote for plain colors on TV. Michelle's turquoise dress with the vintage pin at the convention was a knockout.

    I hatelove the new mimosa trend. I personally can't wear it and I've seen some terrible stuff in that color, but when it's done right, it's amazing. And it looks beautiful on women of color--it makes their skin shine gorgeously.
    I full expect to see several dresses the color of Big Bird making appearances in The Good The Bad & The Ugly pretty soon.

    @ChildBride:

    I am olive-skinned and love wearing this color enough to be annoyed that it is now trendy. Although I am sort of happy to finally be able to put a name to it other than "that sort of marigold-ish yellow color."

    I can get behind this Mimosa color, if only because it's the only shade of yellow that doesn't make me look sick. (It's more lemony than mustardy.) Calling it "the new black", though, is... ridiculous.

    Can't wait to see the next set of Todd Selby photos at Erin Wasson's. Beautiful Alexander Wang clothes slathered in the fur of 17 cats, Erin's little lace number snagged up and down, hamsters in her hair, a bird on her shoulder. She will be my hero.

    I've been wanting to take a craft class....and I totally needed another excuse to waste money I don't have an Anthro. She is cruel mistress.

    And that pretty moddle lady looks exactly like my mom did in the 70's. It's pretty uncanny, actually. Except my mom is 5'2", her thighs probably touched and I'm pretty sure she wouldn't have left the house in a black lace doily as a dress. And if this girl is my long-lost sister, I seriously got shafted.

    I've found many accessories and home decor items on etsy.com that rival anything sold in Anthropologie.

    @AthertonMerriweather: Seriously, I adore Etsy. They're also pretty decent for vintage items. I've gotten some gorgeous vintage home decor items for a small fraction of what Anthro would charge for a fake version.

    I have many opinions about Anthropologie, but I am consistently impressed by their visual merchandising. I can't imagine what kind of budget they have. Compared to my budget of.....um....zero dollars.

    Awww. Good for the model that I've never heard of.

    Some douchebag abandoned a 6 week old terrier puppy in the bushes behind our office yesterday. There were so many ladies here ready to take her home.

    @Wenchie: Over the summer I met a woman who told me that just prior to getting to the bar (we were um.. at a bar) that someone in front of her on the biway dropped an entire box of puppies off on the side of the road, and that they started to run out into the middle of the road and everyone stopped and started grabbing puppies and took them home. Granted I don't know what happened to them from there, but she said they were all saved from becoming road grease. Isn't that nice?

    Anyway, my point is that for every douchebag that drops off an animal somewhere, sometimes there are people willing to take them home.

    Me? I always feel bad for the adult roamers.

    @Wenchie: That makes me insane about the terrier. I adopted a kitten that had been thrown in a dumpster so I have a particular dislike for the type of person that could do that to a defenseless animal.
