Last night, Samantha Bee, Cybill Shepherd, Dr. Ruth, Cosmopolitan's editor-in-chief, and a lot of rich people gathered to wish the Pill a happy 50th over steak and cocktails. It was pretty fun, especially when Samantha Bee laid into Cosmo.

• The L.A. Coroner's office released a preliminary report today declaring that Brittany Murphy's death was accidental. She died of a combination of pneumonia, anemia, and "multiple drug intoxication."

• George Michael was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence yesterday after driving his car into the side of a truck. According to a police spokeswoman, he was "later released without charge" after five hours in police custody. [E!]
