gah. the whole reason i came over from wonkette to jezebel was you. now i have to add another website to my daily internet readings/listenings to follow you yet again? you are a harsh mistress, and a serious threat to my productivity at work.
Megan, I've always loved making it halfway through a post, realizing it was incredibly insightful and well-written, and then scanning to the top so that I could confirm my suspicions that it was written by you.
You're one of my favorite internet chicks, and I'll keep reading no matter where you are.
Best wishes!!
I just registered at Air America so I can follow you wherever you go. Apparently I learn best when intelligent and thoughtful political analysis is presented with potty mouth and rap videos, because you've gotten me way more into politics than I've ever been before. I miss you already!
Megan, I also want to chime in to say that I was unable to load this page when you were taking comments, but that your brevity, wit and intelligence will be deeply missed. I cheered when crappy hour came back, as you (and guests) managed to teach me a lot and dig right through the nonsense to flesh out the news, and I will definitely follow you to Air America. (whateva that is). I remember when I first started commenting and mentioned some conspiracy film i had watched recently about taxes and the 'no real tax amendment' and you instantly replied to it, telling me why that contention was so asinine and actually giving me some great points about it all instead of just ignoring it...at first I was a little taken aback by your directness, but then I realized it was 1) awesome you took the time to respond to me regardless of how silly the discussion was and 2) how well-spoken, clear and concise you were. You had me at that moment with your 'just apply the laugh test to these conspiracy theories-- if you laugh at first reading, it's probably false' (this is a paraphrasing of what you wrote). I always appreciated your ability to get straight to the point, and again, I will miss you! Good luck in your news career!
Megan, thank you so much for CH, and all of your other truly wonderful political pieces.
As a lazy as hell twenty something who only got interested in politics a few years ago, you have taught me so much about so many different issues, while also making me want to dig deeper and do more research on certain topics on my own. I owe a lot of my knowledge and understanding regarding politics to you, and for that I will be forever grateful.
We will miss you hear Megan, but we will also follow you over to Air America. I hope Jezebel keeps up the great health care reform coverage you have been working on. I fear for this country if the Dems give in and cave on the public option.

Dangit, Megan. Can't believe the postings were all jacked up when I came into work all saddened and excited for your final Crappy Hour - AND it was audience participation day! Sigh. Thanks for everything - the laughs and the knowledge. See you over at AA.
1. The front page still isn't loading, but I backdoored my way in with Google reader.
2. Megan, you are awesome, and I for one will miss you, your insight, and your dirty mouth.
3. The only good thing to come from this birther nonsense is an overall surge in the usage of the verb "to gin up," which is making me very happy.
I was trying to figure out what to say to you, Megan, all the way to work. For once, I'm not sure I can come up with adequate words to describe how I feel at this moment. It's not like you're leaving my world completely (I am registered to comment at your new digs), but Jezebel has been my home base for a long time now, and that you will no longer be continually gracing its pages makes a bit nostalgic.
Let's forget sappy. Megan, it has been a privilege to read your work here, and I know you will bring the same sharp wit and keen observational style to Air America. This is not a farewell, but a rebirth, as you pursue new opportunities. I wish you luck, success, good fortune, and if you expect to get rid of me that easily, you're sadly mistaken... ;)

I knew that this day was coming. I knew that this was going to be the last Crappy Hour, but why do I still feel like this kid*?
