    The sad part? The cat didn't claw Kenley's face off. I had no beef with her or her silly antics on the show, but when any animal-as-projectile comes into play, I say bloody justice must be served.

    I know a few people with interesting and/or amusing names, but I'm afraid they'd google for themselves and find their names in this thread, and then they'd be like "who's that Tscheese jerk? Wait, I think I know who this is. YOU'RE AN ASSHOLE, TSCHEESE" and then I'll never be employable again or something.


    I have very, very, very odd ways of thinking about these things.

    @Beat Girl [formerly Miss Carrie Nation]: Right? When I throw something I go for the cheapest but most satisfyingly breakable object possible such as a plate, or I just empty the silverware drawer onto the floor. Lots of noise, little mess.
    If I throw something at someone it is a pillow, or a small book if I REALLY mean it.

    I know the name possibility is funny, but I am really relieved, for her ex's sake, that he was granted a protective order. I really don't find it "sad". Domestic violence isn't funny- not when it's a women, not when she uses a cat as one of her many weapons. I'm glad neither he, nor the cat was seriously injured, and I hope he remains safe.

    @SunburnedCounsel: You are correct. I thought the name was funny too, BUT domestic violence isn't and (I hate to say this) but if the roles were reversed we would be FUCKING PISSED.

    The ILUVKITTIES squad (founding member btw) would be out in force demanding that the kitty be taken out of the situation. Also, we would be really pissed that he got off with such a light sentence.

    I am trying to decide if we are making light of the situation or attempting a sort of gallows humor.

    You know, did you ever step back and wonder why some of this stuff ends up in the news? (Not your fault, Dodai, you're just reporting on celebrity, sex, and fashion--I'm just commenting on how bizarre it is that our culture even pays attention to this stuff.)


    She's not really a celebrity, just a participant on a reality show, and we know all about how she was charged and what happened and who was involved. Now I'm like, "WHY!? Why did I actually go poking around the Internet trying to read about this? I have never met her! I don't even watch the show! WHY!"


    Then I read that she may have caused a cat to have brief, slight distress, and I was like "OH NO YOU DID NOT."


    Priorities: I'm doin it weird.

    @tscheese: It's just such a weird story. I think it would have made the "weird news of the day" anyway, even if the person involved wasn't famous, if someone through a cat, some fruit, and a laptop at their fiance. Didn't she also slam his head in a door or something?
