@Irin: i thot that was odd, too, and i didn't get it either. but apparently anna W appreciated sienna M's astounding performance as edie sedgwick in 2006 movie 'factory girl' and realized
her immense potential as
an actor and fashion person
both.
All this Jane and Sassy talk in the comments has made me think of that parody Daria did of Jane Pratt. I'm having a crap of a time finding it online, unfortunately. It was pretty damn funny.
Drew Barrymore and her relentless avalanche of twee "I'm relatable" bullshit always seems desperate to me. Which is a shame because she's one of the few people actually working on raising the profile of women in Hollywood so really I should be one of her allies.
@PaigeTurner: I foresee a young Suri Cruise making appearances towards the end of the decade. That child is gorgeous and will no doubt find her way into acting or modeling in some capacity.
Usually, I am not a big fan of Angelina Jolie, or a fan of her hype, but I love, love that Vogue cover. It's so restrained and uncontrived--which cannot be said of most of their recent covers.
I'm surprised Anne Hathaway didn't manage to make this list. I feel like that woman is always on a cover of a magazine, especially after the whole boyfriend scandal, usually accompanied with the headline: "LOOK AT ME I'M FINE!!
Halle Berry's InStyle cover mentions Matt LeBlanc in the "What's Sexy Now" headline. Oh, how times change.
I admit I never would have guessed Drew but it makes me inexplicably happy. The Nicole Kidman magazine love was at its craziest when she was on the cover of Vogue twice in nine months back in '03-'04.
@DutchessOfDork: The latter one looks like when Liz Lemon was on HDTV. They must've had a bad photoshopper on duty that day to make someone that gorgeous look so odd.
*tears* I miss Jane! And Sassy. Number one was surprising. I expected it to be either Angelina Jolie or Jennifer Aniston, but I guess they're just queens of the tabloids. I am disappointed that Jessica Simpson made this list because her face never, ever changes.
@Triana Orpheus: Omg, I miss Jane so much! WHY did they have to take it out of circulation? It was the only redeeming factor about going to the airport, I would get excited going to the magazine stand.
@Triana Orpheus: I was so sad when Jane went out of circulation, and then furious when they changed my subscription over to Lucky. I HATE Lucky so so so much.
@sonjamikail: You know, I actually like Lucky. You know right off the bat what you're getting and you don't have to read any bullshit to get to it. Yes, it advertises products at a standard most Americans can only dream of reaching, but I have noticed that lately they've been putting some cheaper products in there.

Also, that W cover of Paltrow looks NOTHING like her.

Really surprised by Renee Z.'s total. Does she have a secret cult following?
Any guesses for the next decade's top cover models?

Er, I mean actresses/models.
Or actresses that look like models.
Or actresses that have to also be models to sell their movies.
Someone remind me, what are those ANTM contestants vying for again?
