    @LadyFabulous: Nope. Boots are always too big for my calves. Which is why I have to search for irregular ones at Marshalls that are too tight for people with normal legs

    @Notes from the underwhelmed: get thee to a cobbler. they can take in the calf and make it smaller! it adds on $40-60 to the cost of boots, but SO WORTH IT.

    @MegSpencer: Well, okay, I'll grant you that. But, for the sake of argument: married people in Hollywood--men and women both--are generally marketed, presented, and displayed as being sexy and desirable. Because they tend to act all sexy and desirable in movies and television. It's like carte blanche to be like, "hey! Lust after this! CONSUME!"


    I won't deny that President-Elect Obama is very good-looking, and that he is very photogenic, but he's an elected official. To me, the focus is just different. And Jezebel tends to raise the level of discourse on this sort of thing rather than lower it, which is why I feel kind of icked out about the media sexualization of our President-Elect. That's all.
