    I'm stuck in my home town for the Holiday, so I won't be doing much commenting, so if you miss me and get totally bored you can read my new blog, Cole In Oscopy, it is still in it's infancy. I promise to make it more funny in the future, this is my first time around with this sort of thing.

    I just sent out something work related right before my lunchtime.

    best outcome: higher ups decide to eat lunch first, look at my stuff afterwards, I get to nom.

    worst outcome: higher ups look at my thingy, send me commentary in the next 10 minutes, and I have to fix it and noms are deferred.

    @thelastsara: awww, boo on working black friday! I feel your pain, as I used to work for a big chain coffee shop, located in a mall, and had to play the 4am "making coffee for jerks" game. Here's hoping your day goes smoothly!

    @spunkay: @cinematheques: Oh no! I misled you all! I will be working at the newspaper I work for . I will not have to suffer through Black Friday at the mall, I'm just assuming that's where I'd be if I was off. It will be a normal Friday for me, which is bad enough!

    @morninggloria: I would personally pay the overtime to our trading desk for their work on Friday in turn for a free vacation day. HR, however, is not on board with my plan.

    @jigglyball: I think that the issue is that the law says that people need to have access to the markets during those times. You know how cranky traders get. They'd hate taking orders directly from clients who want to make small talk.

    @morninggloria: We're an independent broker/dealer, so I think our advisors would still run interference between the trading desk and their clients. Than again, an advisor's idea of small talk usually involves cursing and verbal abuse, so... I also blame the traders' daily 5 a.m. call time for their persistent grumps (we're on the West Coast). I have to wonder what the trading volume is like the day after Thanksgiving?

    I am talking way too much about work.
