It's not hard to imagine she took the pills and conveniently didn't question what her handlers were telling her. Self denial is really powerful. I mean, how do Bush and Palin live with themselves? (I'm not being facetious) Really, I don't think Bush and Palin are consciously evil people, I just think they employ very powerful denial in everyday life.
