I went to school with her husband, and I remember when it came out, kinda out of the blue, that they were getting married and expecting a baby, people really felt that his reputation was tarnished by virtue of his association with her (him being an Olympic sprinter also).
And her ex-husband/ex-boyfriend just keeps getting into more shit. The whole thing is just a damn shame.

That said, there is a reason why other people would lie while testifying - if offered a deal for a lesser sentence or no jail time, I suspect some people would lie or at least exaggerate what they know about others' use.
