I went to arguably, the top party university of the country...and I did some crazy things. But none of them involved not wearing underwear with short skirts, doing LOTS and LOTS of cocaine, not showing up to work, and getting into drunk-driving car crashes. So, Lindsay, if you want to classify this as your "college years" than you should know that regardless of it being in the public eye, your actions are inappropriate and out of control.
Na, she's not giving up on Blake. She just gave him her ATM card and sent him on a drug run. It's only natural to doubt that she'll see him again. However, when the drugs run out and her card gets stolen, she'll see him again. Keep your head up, Amy!
"Rob's kind of shy, and he does this thing, when he's really shy, or when someone asks him something, he lowers his head down and the girls love it!"
As a very shy person, I feel bad if he is getting mobbed when he just wants to hide. We can be shy together, Sparkly Vampire! I won't even try to seduce!
If he is fake-shy to reel in the ladies, well, it seems to be working, so I guess I can't fault him.
Billy, Billy, Billy. If you are the only original member of Smashing Pumpkins left, I hereby declare that you can no longer use the name. You might want to try something along the lines of Heaving Carrots.
@dianersb was bit by a zombie: This. I used to think it didn't matter who he played with, since he wrote and produced the material. But SP has really suffered without James and D'Arcy around.
the perfume thing is probably diddy or whatever his current name is. i kind of wish i was jennifer lopez. i feel like she kicked off this celebrity fragrance thing so i blame her.
I had to read that Christopher Nolan item a few times to make sure that I wasn't mistaken.
"He and his accomplice, Douglas Mejia, allegedly kidnapped Cohen and attempted to extort the cash from his family. Costa Rican officials allege the pair murdered the businessman when the bribe failed.
Mejia has already been convicted for his involvement, while Nolan is being held in Chicago until he can be extradited and tried for the charges, according to the Chicago Sun-Times newspaper."
I never thought eye slanting was super popular in the US. Is it really that big of a thing? Is it like jumping in photos or doing the cheesy peace sign? Do you only do it when you're in China or with an Asian person? I don't get it.
Wait, Lindsey, were you in college during your college years? I don't know if you can call them that otherwise, because I'm spending my college years writing lab reports and studying, not filming movies and partying.
@tscheese: (That was not meant to be as cruel as it sounded. It's just that I'm not sure what our pretty, pretty girl is actually DOING lately. She just seems to be having public fights with SamRo wherever she goes and trailing a half-mile of extensions behind her in her wake.)
And Lindsey, I don't feel bad for you. I'm living out my college years outside of the public eye. And I guarantee that if you spent your weekends the same way I did, the tabloids and gossip blogs wouldn't give a shit. Because no one cares enough to take pictures of girls eating grilled cheese sandwiches while watching 30 Rock reruns online to procrastinate on homework.
@MissCatie: If Linds spent her college years in college, she would be too busy studying to be traipsing around the world getting into frivolous fights with her girlfriend.
@encnyc: As a side note, I love the mental image the word "traipsing" conjures. I picture the guy with the heavy feet from Kids in the Hall trying to skip.
@amowls: I read it more like: real college years are not spent running up ten grand checks at hot night clubs. At no point did MissCatie refer to herself or L.Lo as a "nice girl" or tell anybody how to live their lives; she merely expressed her actions during her "college years" as a comparison.
I'm OK with the Lindsay comment.....OK, so she has not technically been in college while partyiny and behaving badly, but do you have to be in college to do as such? I dropped out of college after sophomore year, and I can say for sure that my reckless behavior did not stop just becuase I was no longer a student.
@the.zombie.kitteh.haz.claws.will.use: I disagree. I partied in college too, but the different was that I was also studying my ass off. Do I call these current years after college my "grad school" years? No, cause I'm not going.
@the.zombie.kitteh.haz.claws.will.use: Well, I guess the thing that bugs me is: whether or not she's in college, the paps and tabloids are pretty ruthless, and it seems they expect any 20-something woman to have out-of-control crazy partying habits.
Some of us do (there were a few times I drank too much in college, that's for damn sure) and some of us don't, but I think she may actually be commenting on the expectation that she's going to be setup to fail. Or I'm reading too much into it. I don't know.
@the.zombie.kitteh.haz.claws.will.use: I'm just being nitpicky about it, I guess. Because she cares what I think, I'd rather her call them her "early 20s" because it makes me happy that it's more accurate. I'm not quite awake yet.
@tscheese: Yeah, tabloids are ruthless, but that's not what's hurt her career. Her showing up late to work, not knowing lines, faking exhaustion for hangovers, etc.. that's why her career is going down the tubes. You don't fuck around like a diva in a movie with Meryl Streep and not expect it to get around Hollywood.
@Hazel jugs you: Well, I guess the point I was trying to make was that I think that Linds is using the term "college years" metaphorically. Like@SantosLHalper: said.
@tscheese: Yeah, i agree with that. They also glamourize the partying and reckless behavior--which is definately the worst part about it. There is no doubt in my mind that Linds has a substance abuse problem, and while she has made some poor choices, it sucks that there were cameras following her to document them--i don't think anyone wins in those kinds of situations.
@Hazel jugs you: Fair enough, but the root of the problem is that she suffers from addiction. Her addictions were what caused her lateness, hospitilizations, etc. So while everyone makes their own choices, and Lindsay should absolutely take responsibility for the chioces she made that scarred her career, I can say from personal experience that when you are addicted to substances, and actively using them, it is not so easy to say "I'm not going to go out tonight cause I have to be at work early." The addiction takes over, and no matter who you are, addiction can make you powerless over your life, and the choices you make--untill you get help that is.....
@Fridge Hussy wishes Castle was showing on Aussie TV: I HONESTLY don't understand that! Okay, in Pirates of the Caribbean, she actually seemed really interesting and had some depth (sure, it was a silly pirate movie, but I kind of loved it and I think it worked for her.) And she wasn't constantly playing with her lips and sticking out her teeth. Because she had shit to do.
In Pride and Prejudice, where all she did was swan about with interesting bangs and barely even brushed on the sheer snark-the-superficial that Austen was angling for? She kept doing that thing where she has her lips just barely-parted. She doesn't do this ALL THE TIME; she's by all accounts a good-looking lady and I have seen her act. So why does she do that thing with her lips? It doesn't appear to be her default setting! She does it for a reason! My Lizzie Bennett would sooner keep her mouth shut and then round on Mr. Darcy with a slingshot of vitriol! WHY KNIGHTLEY. WHY.

I'm guessing George admits his undying and crippling love for Izzy when she dies and offs himself.
Or Edie on Desperate Housewives (I haven't kept up since after Christmas but I just read an article that they're getting rid of her for good soon.)
