    Congrats to Kelis, who is pregnant; her husband, rapper Nas, is the father.


    Why is it specified so oddly that Kelis's husband Nas is the father of her baby? Shouldn't that be the default assumption? A more standard pregnancy announcement would say "Congratulations to Kelis & her husband Nas, who are expecting" or similar.


    Goodness.

    @southernbelle: Male Red Sox fans are some of the best men in this world. And what is with the drunk? I very rarely see drunk people at Fenway- because people like to watch the game. If they are drunk, they are a bandwagon fan. (Therefore not truly part of Red Sox Nation)


    And there is a reason that the Sox have a nation and the A's have an empty stadium.

    @BAngieB: They could have worded it something like "Kelis and her husband, Nas, are expecting their first child", which sounds a little less shocked and amazed that the baby daddy is... gasp... actually married to the mother and maybe their child was planned.

    Abi Titmus started out as a nurse. She came to fame when she supported her then famous boyfriend , who was embroiled in a sex scandal. He was later exonerated but his television career never recovered so he went into property development. Abi later parlayed that fame into releasing porno films and books. My friend, who works in the publishing industry, was spitting tacks that she had to flog a book of dubious literary merit by some floozy famous only for dropping her drawers for money. More recently she has appeared in a few roles in fringe theatre and independent films, but I doubt if Judi Dench or Helen Mirren are worried that their own careers might be threatened by hers.
