It's easier with a boy, I have to admit. He looks good in everything, the selection for boys is usually extremely limited, and he doesn't hassle me to buy him a million dresses. The big expenses are shoes, which I get for half of retail at the outlets, and dress clothes, which I try to get secondhand (it's not hard).

Please thank my niece for being born and stimulating this entire economy by being the first grandchild on both sides of the amily.

I'm wearing my bitter pants right now and looking forward to the alcoholic stupor.

My parents, on the other hand, brag about reusing teabags.
