My first thought was "how weird that I'm (as a German) reading about this on several American blogs but not on a single German one" and then realized that I don't read that many German blogs. Or at least any blogs interested in viral ads for boring online stores (seriously, the clothes are so bland).
@..now it's just Aesop's Foibles.: I love shopping but I am a laid-back, get-in/get-out type. I HATE people who treat it like a competetive sport and get all up in my business when I'm looking at a rack or give me evil looks when I take the last item in my size.
@morninggloria: Seriously. I remember hearing how this one Austrian guy living in Germany thought some dude named Goldman was kinda a jerk, and then... well, you know.
Internet shopping isn't safe either. Get ready for some hard core spamming, everyone who bought the J. Crew "Beatrice" driving loafer in lemon, size 6.
@hatepaperdoll: All the girls who sit near me in grad school classes get the jcrew emails, and when those 30% sales come out, we are all clicking away like madwomen in class. I feel like such a cliche when it happens.

Erm... Worse. I, uh, definitely meant worse. ~cough~
If malls were really like this, I would go shopping way more often.
