    I'm convinced that most people, who regularly shop at Whole Foods, and of a certain income subset, own at least 40 of those reusable grocery bags for having forgotten to bring their own (but not wanting to look like a "chump" for using paper).

    @Scout: We don't have Whole Foods in Canada so the groery stores I frequent are much less posh, but I've totally done this. Forgot my reuseable bag? I'll just spend $0.99 and buy another one! Although in my defense, it's pretty rare that I forget.

    @GreyEminence: if you have extras, they seem to be appreciated by the homeless. Preferred over their using flimsy plastic bags for carrying things.

    also great for recyclables if one doesn't have recycle bins.

    I also wonder if you could cut them up, flat, and sew them together to make a shower curtain?

    hmmmm (I'm full of "hmmm's" today)

    @pantsless economist...access RESTORED: Wikipedia should not be held responsible for the content itself or for libel (libel requires intent and gross disregard for the truth). But they can always say Wikipedia was negligent for not blocking editing because it's been repeatedly edited. Like most of the liability falls on the guy that's editing the page but Wikipedia may be partially liable for not taking steps to stop the damage from happening.
    The lawsuit will probably not come to anything and they will just agree on blocking editing of the page.

    (Not a lawyer but a law student).

    @dumblonde: this isn't true. there are different libel standards for individuals than there are for public figures. there are also per se categories which don't require intent. i believe smears against one's sexuality (saying someone has a disease, alleging a woman is unvirtuous, or that someone is gay) falls into the per se category- meaning that Livingston would get statutory damages if he proves his case.
