    Here is what drives me crazy about people like her claiming that "every American has the right to express their opinion": Yes. You do. And you did express your opinion. And nobody censored you, everybody heard your answer. And then many of us chose to express our opinion that you are an idiot and a hypocrite. If you want your right to free speech, you have to take responsibility for what you say and understand that sometimes that will mean people criticizing you for it. #carrieprejeantheview

    "Free speech": Entitlement to a large public forum in which to broadcast one's views to an audience who will be universally accepting of said views. Also, the inalienable right to monetize one's speech in the form of book deals, radio and television contracts, etc., regardless of contract law or the business interests of others.

    (Caveat: In limited supply. "Free speech" may be unavailable to the poor, the uneducated, the unattractive, and minorities.) #carrieprejeantheview

    I don't consider her tape to be unChristian. I consider her lying on a legal document (pageant application) by omitting the existence of the topless photos and tape when she signed the morality clause; and then suing the pageant for $1,000,000 dollars for improper termination when they fired her for a completely different reason. And she clearly shows no remorse for the dishonesty, as she deflects any mention of it during interviews. That's what I consider un-Christian and dishonest and immoral. #carrieprejeantheview

    Barbara is right. Getting called a bitch by Perez Hilton IS the best thing that happened to her, because without it, she would have melted back into the sweet, sweet obscurity in which she belongs. Goodbye book, goodbye publicity tour. Nobody gives a shit about Miss USA. I can't even name the finalist from my own state.     @morninggloria: I understand this comment is hyperbole, but why should God smite her? I really think that Prejean is the least of anyone's worries in the gay marriage fight. I think you should be more worried about the views of the voting public and legislators such as Obama, who agree with Prejean that marriage is between man and woman exclusively. I am curious as to why this pageant queen stirred up all this strife when the president shares the same views she does on marriage and has not suffered a backlash for saying so. #carrieprejeantheview

    There are so many things that annoy me about Prejean, but not least of which is her shocking level of stupidity. Yes, people were angered by her answer during the pageant, but the reason she lost was that her answer was incoherent and poorly reasoned. Her insistence on victimizing herself and rewriting events is just downright annoying. I cannot wait until this inarticulate twit disappears for good. She's the Anita Bryant of our time. #carrieprejeantheview
