    Here is what drives me crazy about people like her claiming that "every American has the right to express their opinion": Yes. You do. And you did express your opinion. And nobody censored you, everybody heard your answer. And then many of us chose to express our opinion that you are an idiot and a hypocrite. If you want your right to free speech, you have to take responsibility for what you say and understand that sometimes that will mean people criticizing you for it. #carrieprejeantheview

    Oh Carrie. While it does have "USA" in the title, the Miss USA pageant is not actually a government actor. I think your understanding of what free speech means ranks somewhere with your understanding of "tolerance".

    Girl's got some balls talking to Babs with that tone of voice.

    This woman is a real piece of work. Her attitude, facial expressions and body language speak volumes about her character. She comes across as a bratty, sullen teenager. If I saw this interview with the volume off and I didn't know her by sight (if only!) I'd think to myself, "Jeez, what a bitch."

    Then you bring in her nasty tone and snippy words and yep, she's a bitch. Bitch knows no religious or political affiliation. Bitch just is - and Carrie P IS a bitch.

    she always talks about how americans are afraid to speak up for what they believe because of the criticism from the awful liberal media but perhaps if she would take a second to stop martyring herself she'd realize that the backlash against her IS all about americans speaking up for what they believe in and that is that the limiting of civil rights is WRONG. #carrieprejeantheview

    "Free speech": Entitlement to a large public forum in which to broadcast one's views to an audience who will be universally accepting of said views. Also, the inalienable right to monetize one's speech in the form of book deals, radio and television contracts, etc., regardless of contract law or the business interests of others.

    (Caveat: In limited supply. "Free speech" may be unavailable to the poor, the uneducated, the unattractive, and minorities.) #carrieprejeantheview
