i don't know if she's qualified enough, or the best candidate, but she is very much intellectally capable and seemingly of sound emotional stability, remarkably so considering her background. i'm secretly pleased to see her come out from behind the very large shadow of her more glamorous brother and parents.
and seriously, how could anyone not know who she is. she's kept a low profile, yeah, but c'mon...

It's no wonder newspapers are shutting down and book sales are off. Does anyone read or pay attention to anything any more? Caroline knew she couldn't be a photojournalist because people were too busy looking at her for her to be observant. But there seems to be a whole generation who have no idea who she is. Maybe if she doesn't get the Senate seat she can finally start that photojournalism career.

The flip side of this is, while I do think that she has been getting some unfair criticism--because she obviously can't change her family name---her whole run leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I mean that questionnaire? Really? I could have given those answers, and this woman wants to be Senator. Don't get me wrong, she could totally get appointed, go to the Senate, and do the damn thing, but as of right now, I have to say two thumbs down.

I'm not gonna rag on her for wanting to run without having held an elected office before. After all, the Founding Fathers were all about a benevolent elite of non-professionals in the Senate.
