    This could be really bad for me as I graduated in '86 and if I can find the pictures there are some very insane ones of me lol. Then there are the ones of me pregnant and OMG the maternity clothing in 1988 was so bad. It is so freaky that my son is going to be 21 on Mothers Day. Someone please tell me where the years have went to??

    Care Free Curl is the devil! My mom had no idea what to do with my hair and between that and Luster's Pink Oil Lotion (booo hisss booo), I was a greasy little mess! People would want to play in my hair, then recoil in horror when their hands got wet.

    sorry to say it, but i was cute in the '80s. I was 5 when they ended, so i could get away with anything. when we start talking about the early '90s, i have this sweater you should see. it was from the days before i had braces so it also looks like i have fangs.

    Ah yes. The glorious '80s. I'd happily send in my first grade picture if I knew how. I went to Catholic school so I wore a uniform, BUT. I had THE most rockin' badass haircut ever. I'm actually surprised the school allowed me to wear it like that since it was really EXTREME 80s!!1!!! but surprisingly no one said anything about it. And if I'm honest, even now as an adult where I get expensive haircuts a few times per year and blow it out every day and use all sorts of quality shampoo and what-all, my hair has never looked better than it did in first grade.

    The problem is: we had 110 and Polaroid cameras back then: no digital. I have no idea how I would send photos to you without a scanner.

    @RedVelvetCake: Not ideal, but you can take a picture of the picture with a digital. Just make sure there are no glares on the finish and that you point the cameral directly at the photo.

    I know there exist pictures of me replete with slouch socks 'n bobos paired with confusing colorful jeans and Benneton sweatshirts. No one should ever wonder why in 1992 I fell down a gothy ravekid rabbit hole.

    Seriously, when I was in college and we had 1980s night at my sorority, I wore my school uniform. That's how little fashion I was exposed to in the 80s.

    @emilyanne: Oh, whatever my mom picked out for me. I probably looked like a little refugee from various other decades - she was into classics, hand-me-downs and value and she was not about to buy me a Coca-Cola shirt or whatever the trend was.

    @fol_de_rol: ah that makes sense, i intend to try this with my daughter. Actually I have very little idea what 80s fashion in the US was like, any one who wants to know what it was like in Britain should simply go to Topshop's website where they appear to be trying to convince us to wear it all over again.
