Here's a librarian's take on this: So, the book was $30, but you read it overnight. Hardback books are usually a dollar per ten pages, so this thing was atleast 300 pages. So ... what'dshe do, write it in lipstick? Fill it up with pictures? Big margins, 14 point font, lots of white space, start every chapter on a blank page half the page down with a bumper page before and after? Just saying, this isn't a book, it's a marketing device. #goingroguereview

Yeah, because playing make believe characters who shoot other make believe characters is TOTALLY the same as shooting real live animals. Reality and movies obviously have exactly the same relevance.

I think you missed what the word irony actually means.

Also, that Kerry quote (as other have pointed out) is out of context and is not a jab at the troops. Reading comprehension fail.

To be fair, the John Kerry remark WAS pretty insulting.

I really can't think of a way to spin it that does not point to him regarding the military as a bunch of idiots who are no better than burger flippers (I guess the burger flipper lobby will be after ME now). IMO this comment does show his true colors to some extent. I was also not impressed with his recent NPR interview after his return from touring Iraq; a lot of hot air, without a lot of candor.

That being said, I agree, Palin is a scary scary person.

There was an article featured on Drudge yesterday about how the libs are scared of the powerful right wing women taking the politcal stage. I don't think the libs (and I) are scared of them so much as we are depressed that their popularity is an indicator of how many dipshits there are in this country. #goingroguereview

@Bipolar-Cop: It was pretty clear from the video tape and the actual context, as well as the words, that he was referring to GWB, and what he said was true. If you don't study while in school you just might be stupid enough to grow to be President and get your country stuck in an unwinnable occupation. He left out a phrase and the supposedly liberal media jumped all over it like rats on a cheese log. #goingroguereview

The quote from John Kerry she has so nicely taken out of context was actually a burn on George W. Bush, saying when you don't actually participate in school and know what you are doing you end up in Iraq, i.e. a dragged out war. It was not a condemnation of any our troops, especially since Kerry did multiple tours in Vietnam, unlike most Republicans yammering about the war, and then came back to fight for troops and veterans rights. These people make me sick. #goingroguereview

Funny she mentions Groundhog Day, because every time she reappears I have to check my pulse and make sure I'm not in a special circle of hell where it is all Sarah Palin for all time.

Also, as much as her voice grates against my eardrums, I'd gain a tiny bit of respect for her if she went onto The Daily Show. Yes, she'd get torn a new one, but unless Stewart was particularly vengeful that evening she'd get to say her crazy piece. #goingroguereview

I think for my mental health I will just have to avoid anything that mentions Sarah Palin and think about Idris Elba instead.

I have a great dislike for this woman.

I worked on Ann Richards's reelection campaign (we lost). While Gov. Richards was more conservative than the people I usually support, I respected her. She was smart, tough, funny and worked her ass off. I would be wiped out at the end of the day and this woman who was more than twice my age would keep going.

It ticks me off when Palin goes on and on about how she's a victim of sexism, the media, Katie Couric, McCain staffers, etc.

She is not. We are the victims of her small-mindedness, incompetence, and sheer stupidity.

She acts as if America is one big high school and she can "charm" her way to class president.

I will never forgive McCain for putting her on the ticket. That action showed nothing but contempt for the American voter. I get he was losing but come on! There were other "hail mary" moves he could have made.

Also I read VOGUE and The Economist so not sure what that dig was about. #goingroguereview
