Uh where can I find episodes of Lance Link - Secret Chimp. I almost got caught reading this instead of working when I burst out laughing.

Look how sexy and HEALTHY the women look in the first two pictures!!!! They would be two pounds shy of "plus size model" status today, damn shame. I'm coveting the redhead's dress from "Pretty Maids"!

The girl with the whistle is making my ovaries weep. And yaaaay for the pic of my beloved alma mater Howard University! Might have to order that and put it on the wall under my framed 10x11 pic of Barack!

I saw an "Instant Dress" at the mall today for $120! WTF? And this was in Brooklyn! I've seen them in the city for more than that. I remember when you could get one on an infomercial for like, $19.95 as the "Infinite Dress". I'm getting a pattern and making one my damn self.

There is a little too much of my life going on here. Sadly, not Mabel Fergerson's freaking AWESOME thighs nor motor-granny, but more like Lance Link (thanks for the reminder Jez! I thought I purged that shit from my head!), jumpsuits, and yes, a wig. For a child. From Lord & Taylor. And Lance Link. Just keep saying it. Lance Link. Lance. Link.

Ah gods for the days of the mini/midi/maxi dress dilemma! And bless Bella Abzug wherever she might be. Jane Fonda and Candace Bergen = teh hot. and finally, I always dreamed about having hot sex in one of those Poconos heart-shaped tubs.

I think that in terms of fashion and decor, the '70s was my least favorite decade. Everything seems to have been made of Dynel and it makes me feel all itchy thinking about it.

My house was built in 1971 and we still have the original avocado green oven and stove top, LOL.

Instant Dress: I just had an instant 70's-dov charney-american apparel epiphany.

SO THAT'S WHERE THEY GET THEIR INSPIRATION.

When I body paint food on my stomach it's usually bread, a gallon of milk and cat food. It comes in handy in lieu of a grocery list.

I grew up in the 70's - I graduated from HS in 1979, so I guess that was 'my' decade.

Germaine Greer was my hero. Fashions WERE somewhat hideous and I seem to remember the popularity of avocado green and shades of orange for interior decorating. I guess I grew up with too much of that stuff because I cannot bear for either of those shades to be used in my home or office. Ever.

I lived in Santa Fe for 5 years in the early 80's and the turquoise pictured is typical of what is still available there. Dodai, you need to take a road trip! But don't go there in October when they do the "Indian Market" - the markup is totally outrageous and you'll pay 10 to 20 times more than at other times of the year. They mark it up because the Texans would come over for the event and wouldn't think an article was worth buying unless it was hideously overpriced.

Don't shoot me, Texas Jezzies! No hate here, just statin' fact....
