    @Our Lady of the Massacre: Yea, Jon had some sort of IT job and Kate was a nurse. Kate decided to stay at home with the babies and later on apparently Jon decided to do the same, but there are rumors that he was fired instead.

    This will make me sound paranoid, but I really think there's a secret Douchebag Olympic contest taking place underground. They compete publicly, but they talk about it and tally their points in the basement of one of the contestants. Current contestants include Jon Gosselin, Spencer Pratt, Tucker Max, Kanye West and countless others. I think inspiring ire on the internet is only the qualifying event. Let's see how far they take it!!!

    I feel like intentionally going out and purchasing exclusively black clothes and then announcing that they are all you will be wearing is a bit tacky and contrived.

    It's one thing to feel like you never want to see a happy color again, and to dress in a way which reflects your distress, but making a scene about wearing black seems a bit much.

    @Selwyn: That's a bit harsh. They quoted "a source", I haven't heard Janet announce anything. And judging by how brief and reluctant her public statements have been since her brother's death I'd be surprised if she was "making a scene" about her choice of mourning attire.

    Wearing black - even for up to a year - after someone's death is a fairly traditional practice

    Anyway, all I ever see her wear is black, so I doubt she had to go on a real big shopping trip if this is true.
