    @LipstickLibrarian: I didn't want to be in the room either, but somehow I ended up with leg duty (I held one, my mom the other; my sister didn't use the stirrups for some reason.) I played it smart though: when the baby was about to come I did not look into the eye of the storm. I figured I want to have kids one day and seeing that might forever put the kibosh on it.

    @peperony and chease: For some reason, in spite of being really appalled the first time I heard "too close" on the radio, teenage me thought it would be a good idea to be part of a stampede of girls chasing Next through a concert parking lot, and then waiting in line for an hour to take a picture. So yeah, teenage me totally posesses a photo with those guys, taken right before their fifteen minutes were up. I may or may not be wearing fake gold press on nails. It was totally one of my finer moments.

    @Scout (formerly Jemae): How did you not have ownership of your body when you were pregnant, or giving birth, or you know, just in general. Making your body do what you want it to might make you feel better, but getting there still takes ownership.
